10 interesting futuristic materials

1. Aerogel

Aerogel protecting crayons from a blowtorch.

Aerogel holds 15 entries in the Guinness Book of Records, more than any   other material. Sometimes called "frozen smoke", aerogel is made by the   supercritical drying of liquid gels of alumina, chromia, tin oxide, or   carbon. It's 99.8% empty space, which makes it look semi-transparent.   Aerogel is a fantastic insulator — if you had a shield of aerogel,   you   could easily defend yourself from a flamethrower. It stops cold, it   stops heat. You could build a warm dome on the Moon. Aerogels have   unbelievable surface area in their internal fractal structures   — cubes of   aerogel just an inch on a side may have an internal surface area   equivalent to a football field. Despite its low density, aerogel has   been looked into as a component of military armor because of its   insulating properties.

2. Carbon nanotubes

Carbon nanotubes are long chains of carbon held together by the   strongest bond in all chemistry, the sacred sp2 bond, even   stronger   than   the sp3 bonds that hold together diamond. Carbon nanotubes have numerous   remarkable physical properties, including ballistic electron transport   (making them ideal for electronics) and so much tensile strength that   they are the only substance that could be used to build a space   elevator. The specific strength of carbon nanotubes is 48,000   kN·m/kg,   the best of known materials, compared to high-carbon steel's 154   kN·/kg.   That's 300 times stronger than steel. You could build towers hundreds of   kilometers high with it.

3. Metamaterials

"Metamaterial" refers to any material that gains its properties from   structure rather than composition. Metamaterials have been used to   create microwave invisibility cloaks, 2D invisibility cloaks, and   materials with other unusual optical properties. Mother-of-pearl gets   its rainbow color from metamaterials of biological origin. Some   metamaterials have a negative refractive index, an optical property that   may be used to create   "Superlenses"  which resolve features smaller than   the wavelength of light used to image them! This technology is called   subwavelength imaging. Metamaterials would used in phased array optics,   a technology that could render perfect holograms on a 2D display. These   holograms would be so perfect that you could be standing 6 inches from   the screen, looking into the "distance" with binoculars, and not even   notice it's a hologram.

4. Bulk diamond

We're starting to lay down thick layers of diamond in CVD machines,   hinting towards a future of bulk diamond machinery. Diamond is an ideal   construction material — it's immensely strong, light, made out of   the   widely available element carbon, nearly complete thermal conductivity,   and has among the highest melting and boiling points of all materials.   By introducing trace impurities, you can make a diamond practically any   color you want. Imagine a jet, with hundreds of thousands of moving   parts made of fine-tuned diamond machinery. Such a craft would be more   powerful than today's best fighter planes in the way an F-22 is better   than the Red Baron's Fokker Dr.1.

5. Bulk fullerenes

Diamonds may be strong, but aggregated diamond nanorods (what I call   amorphous fullerene) are stronger. Amorphous fullerene has a isothermal   bulk modulus of 491 gigapascals (GPa), compared to diamond's 442 GPa. As   we see in the image, the nanoscale structure of the fullerene gives it a   beautiful iridescent appearance. Fullerenes can be made substantially   stronger than diamond, but for greater energy cost. After a "Diamond   Age"   we may eventually transition to a "Fullerene Age" as our technology gets   even more sophisticated.

6. Amorphous metal

Amorphous metals, also called metallic glasses, consist of metal with a   disordered atomic structure. They can be twice as strong as steel.   Because of their disordered structure, they can disperse impact energy   more effectively than a metal crystal, which has points of weakness.   Amorphous metals are made by quickly cooling molten metal before it has   a chance to align itself in a crystal pattern. Amorphous metals may the   military's next generation of armor, before they adopt diamondoid armor   in mid-century. On the green side of things, amorphous metals have   electronic properties that improve the efficiency of power grids by as   much as 40%, saving us thousands of tons of fossil fuel emissions.

7. Superalloys

A superalloy is a generic term for a metal that can operate at very high   temperatures, up to about 2000 °F (1100 °C). They are popular   for   use in   the superhot turbine areas of jet engines. They are used for more   advanced oxygen-breathing designs, such as the ramjet and scramjet. When   we're flying through the sky in hypersonic craft, we'll have superalloys   to thank for it.

8. Metal foam

Metal foam is what you get when you add a foaming agent, powdered   titanium hydride, to molten aluminum, then let it cool. The result is a   very strong substance that is relatively light, with 75-95% empty space.   Because of its favorable strength-to-weight ratio, metal foams have been   proposed as a construction material for space colonies. Some metal forms   are so light that they float on water, which would make them excellent   for building floating cities, like those analyzed by Marshall T. Savage   in one of my favorite books, The Millennial Project.

9. Transparent alumina

Transparent alumina is three times stronger than steel and transparent.   The number of applications for this are huge. Imagine an entire   skyscraper or arcology made largely of transparent steel. The skylines   of the future could look more like a series of floating black dots   (opaque private rooms) rather than the monoliths of today. A huge space   station made of transparent alumina could cruise in low Earth orbit   without being a creepy black dot when it passes overhead. And   hey... transparent swords!

10. E-textiles

If you meet up and talk to me in 2020, I'll likely be covered in   electronic textiles. Why carry some electronic gadget you can easily   lose when we can just wear our computers? We'll develop clothing that   can   constantly project the video of our choosing (unless it turns out being   so annoying that we ban it). Imagine wearing a robe covered in a display   that actually projects the night sky in realtime. Imagine talking to   people over the "phone" just by making a hand gesture and activating   electronics in your lapel, then merely thinking about what you want to   say   (thought-to-speech interfaces). The possibilities of e-textiles are   limitless.

Interview: From rock'n'roll to the sounds of nature

http://www.newscientist.com/channel/opinion/mg19926641.800-interview-from-rocknroll-to-the-sounds-of-nature.html?DCMP=ILC-hmts&nsref=specrt11_head_Rock'n'roll%20nature

Bernie Krause explains why he quit pop music to record natural soundscapes.

Taking a tape recorder into the woods turned out to be a life-changing move for pop musician Bernie Krause. Soon afterwards, he abandoned a successful career as a performer and composer to become a "bioacoustician". He tells Jennifer Ouellette about Wild Sanctuary, his project to preserve endangered soundscapes before they are drowned out by human noise

You were a successful musician specialising in synthesised electronic music. How did you get involved in recording nature's sounds?

After introducing the Moog synthesiser at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 with my late music partner, Paul Beaver, Warner Brothers picked us up for a three-record contract, the first of which was called In A Wild Sanctuary. Both Paul and I felt that the recording would suffer if natural soundscapes were not an integral component.

Paul would have nothing to do with environments that didn't require a double-breasted blue wool-serge suit and wingtips. So, by default, I was left to do the work outdoors. My idea of the natural world was Muir Woods, north of San Francisco, and the zoo. I was terrified of critters. I never had a dog, cat or even a goldfish growing up.

What impact did this fieldwork have on you?

I don't have great eyesight, so I understand the world through what I hear. The moment I switched my machine into "record", and heard the spatial textures of the redwoods and a few crows vocalise as they crossed the stereo space of my system, the impact was so powerful, the impression so great, that my life changed on the spot. It was an epiphany. No music I had heard, done or would do, was comparable to the magnificence of what I heard then.

When did you decide to switch from music to bioacoustics?

By the time Paul died of a brain haemorrhage in 1975, I was beginning to spend more and more time further afield, and began to amass a large library of natural soundscapes just for the pure joy it gave me. Music, as a profession, began to pale and made me feel anxious.

In the late 1970s I applied to go to the Antarctic to record sounds but was told that the beds there were exclusively for scientists. I decided I'd had enough of the entertainment business, so I enrolled in a graduate study programme to earn a doctoral degree, followed by an internship in bioacoustics. I got my PhD in 1981 and have never looked back. I've been in the field recording soundscapes ever since.

What is Wild Sanctuary?

It is the largest archive of natural soundscapes in private hands. It consists of over 3500 hours of material collected from all over the world over the last 40 years, and contains about 15,000 identified vocal creatures. Forty per cent of this archive comes from habitats now seriously altered, compromised or even extinct, sound-wise. This is what makes this collection so valuable.

Natural soundscapes are not high on the list of important things for museums to consider for preservation. When we transfer the collection later this year to an academic institution [Purdue University], we hope to change that. Our mission is to create a global centre for the study and recording of the remaining untrammelled sites across the planet. We believe that in order to fully understand our human impact, we need the holistic acoustic baseline recordings by which to explore these shifts in the soundscape.

How is Wild Sanctuary different from other archived collections of natural sounds?

In more traditional collections like those at Cornell University and the wildlife sounds archive at the British Library, the dominant model has been an abstraction or deconstruction of the natural world into its constituent parts. The voices of birds, mammals, insects, amphibians are separated out from their natural habitats into single-species units. Unfortunately, this does not reveal the myriad ways in which the total mix of critter voices in a habitat relate to one another - one expression of that habitat's overall physical condition.

Is that what you meant by the term "biophony"?

Yes. I describe the soundscape as consisting of biophony (sounds produced by living organisms), geophony (non-biological sound), and anthrophony (human noise) because there is virtually no language to describe sound in our culture, and these phenomena needed to be articulated in meaningful terms.
“There is virtually no language to describe sound in our culture”

Has your bioacoustics work influenced your ideas about human-made music versus nature's tones?

As a musician, I, like most of my colleagues, learned to listen only partially. The more complex acoustic structures - especially those in the natural world - are far more intricate than the music of most western composers. Even those who create music they think has been inspired by "nature" have missed the point. They've limited their compositions to single signature species like whales, wolves and a few birds that just happen to fit the musical paradigms of the moment. What this hubris conveys philosophically is the composer's disconnection to the natural world.

Those groups who still live bonded to the natural world use the biophony as a natural karaoke orchestra with which they perform. They make no distinction between themselves and "nature" like we do. They don't need to separate themselves as "artists" or "musicians" within their groups. Those who never came in contact with western academia or the missionaries don't have a word in their lexicon for "nature", "music" or "artist".

Last year you partnered with Google Earth and Google Maps to demonstrate an application to hear a soundscape as well as see locations. What gave you the idea?

I felt that one should be able to zoom in on different sites and hear the relevant soundscape, whether urban or natural. Since Google was making noises about being interested in ecological issues, we thought it would be a logical next step. We are hoping that Google will incorporate that into their sites, although to date they've had other priorities.

Urban noise has become such a ubiquitous part of our existence that we block sounds out. How can we relearn how to listen to nature's soundscapes?

The simple remedy is to shut the hell up. James Watt, Ronald Reagan's secretary of the interior, once said, "Noise is power. The more noise we make the more powerful we seem to others." So we drive our muscle cars, motor cycles, all-terrain vehicles, dirt bikes, and snowmobiles through otherwise pristine national parks and wilderness areas. This clearly demonstrates the paucity of the collective regard we have for our effect on the natural world and living organisms, which are much more susceptible to our hubris than we can imagine.

The most remarkably quiet day I can recall was sitting outside in our backyard in Sonoma Valley on 12 September 2001. For the first time, I could hear so many birds and insects that had been previously masked by noise. All the planes across the US had been grounded. Traffic was non-existent. Bitter-sweet and yet lovely at the same time, the moment was truly stunning for its non-human and delicate acoustic fabric.

PROACTIVE MIRROR SOLUTIONS
Our personality-armor-resistance is largely built in reaction to the agendas and projections of others. Thus to transcend the confines of our limited ego, we can use the daily social world as a ladder of ascension. Following is a method of using our experience of the world to pinpoint the work we need to do on ourselves. For example if we find ourselves repeatedly encountering parasitic people we do a comprehensive parasite cleans on our own body.

Parasites—Paracleanse, strengthen self-identity and determination
Predators—Martial arts, aerobic and strength training
Bullies—Boxing, kick boxing, pillow punching, growling, humor
Rude—Detox liver and colon, hanging and rubbing scalp to wake up
Codependent—Redefine life mission and actively pursue spiritual vocation
Witch—Reduce dependency through learning new skills
Saboteur—Address your addictions and replace with healthy alternatives
Lost Ones—Center, Breathe, Stretch, Sungaze, Upgrade dreamtime
Sleepers—Face denial, jump in cold water, run, reduce food load on body
Petty Bureaucrates—Role play mature self-authority scenes with parental figures

This Natural Solutions Intelligence Report
Could Save Your Life.

Or you can ignore it, but that choice might kill you. It’s your choice. The tale which you need to hear is a long, complicated one, winding its way from China to France by way of the First World War, Rockefeller’s Oil Cartel, Sanofi-Pasteur and Iraq to its final destination: A syringe full of something claiming to be a vaccine against the now-deadly Avian Flu imported from China and filled in a plant in the US. Filled with what? Nothing good. This is not a story to be told in a few brief paragraphs.

It is long and complicated but I urge you to read it and then to take the steps listed and please, SHARE THIS INFORMATION AS WIDELY AS POSSIBLE.

Avian Flu Has Already Been Weaponized

I’ll give you the bottom line first: based on Gen. Stubblebine’s careful analysis of the existing evidence, Avian Flu has already been turned into a pandemic virus with a lot of sophisticated help from people who are not your friends, but who are very good at weaponizing organisms, like the previously innocuous bird flu virus, H5N1.

There is a basic virological fact you need to know to make sense of what comes next: it is impossible to make a vaccine against a virus that does not yet exist. Public relations efforts to the contrary, IF a vaccine is being made against the Avian Flu virus in its pandemic form, that means that the pandemic virus already exists. Period. End of discussion. So that fact that the Avian Flu vaccine is already being manufactured in China by Sanofi-Pasteur, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the French arm of the Rockefeller oil cartel (Total Petroleum) is confirmation of what you are about to read. If you allow it to be introduced into your body, there is no reason to imagine it will be anything but an unmitigated disaster for your immune system and for you. We believe it’s planned to be that way.

I do not know A. True Ott, PhD, but he was kind enough to send me a PDF file recently in which he puts a lot of the pieces together that I have been finding in my own research. Some of his conclusions I have serious difficulty with, but parts of his chronology are used here with appreciation.

Let’s start with the basics: H5N1 is a benign, commonplace virus which most birds carry with no harm to themselves or humans. Humans also have viruses we have no problem with: these viral companions keep our immune systems healthy and humming. Only under the stimulus of novel and dangerous toxins which your body has no way to get rid of (detoxify), and stress which overwhelms your coping capacity, does an innocuous virus mutate and become something that can make you sick or kill you.

All human cases of H5N1 have occurred in areas of sick birds in large concentrations such as factory farms where handlers come into contact with stressed and sick birds in toxic surroundings where toxic residues are concentrated at high levels.

For example, in Vietnam, where thousands of gallons of Monsanto chemicals such as Agent Orange were dumped in huge amounts following the Vietnam war outbreaks of Avian Flu are not uncommon. These outbreaks occurred in highly toxic environments, where crowded, sick factory farm chickens have been inoculated [supposedly] against Avian Flu.

It will also become deadly, of course, when labs are employed to alter it so that it becomes an efficient weapon of mass destruction. The US has had a program to accomplish exactly that for over a century now, astounding as that may seem!

Our best intelligence estimate is that pandemic Avian Flu already exists. It appears to have been turned into a massive viral threat through bioengineering by the United States, fusing the deadly genome of the 1918 Pandemic, mis-named the “Spanish Flu”, with the DNA of the H5N1 virus in a growth medium of human kidney cells to make sure that the virus recognizes human cells and knows how to invade them.

Never fear, your condition is normal, it reflects the general state of humanity in the “modern” world. Let me explain…

The modern degenerative complex has resulted from the accumulation and interaction of multiple causes over the history of the human species. The compound consequences of our misalignment with the earth, nature and Life’s reality leads to the myriad of physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, relational and environmental problems we face today. It is becoming more and more obvious that we have to radically and rapidly change the way we operate as individuals and as a species on all levels of our existence. This change is fundamentally a spiritual quest involving the maturing and transformation of humankind toward a more sensitive, alive and caring species that can “feel” and know right from wrong with regards to the life-force.

Through good-will and respect for “Life” and the living force that animates us we can wake up to that which furthers and doesn’t harm Life’s survival and evolution in the Universe. Like the Essene tradition before us, this pro-Life stance not only will give us the moral sanity to do what needs to be done to change our ways, but it is also the foundational basis to a genuine cosmic spirituality. Only this sensitivity to élan vital can free us from the ongoing species decline as the degenerative trend gets more and more interwoven and complex.

Once we realize this we can overcome our loss of biological faith and the shame and guilt over the catastrophic condition and circumstance we have created for ourselves. Once we are fully aware of where we are at and how we got there we can then have the courage and foresight to give up our suicidal self-sabotage and let the true power of beauty, truth, goodness and cosmic illumination shine through us. As the light of the Universe increasingly shows us the way, we will no longer cause ourselves harm, thus allowing the power of cosmic consciousness to accumulate and accelerate within us. Thus we set ourselves right with our relationship to all creation, whereupon we can at last say that we truly love.

In love, through love and by love we create conditions that allow for the increasing power, perfection and profundity of that love. And as our genuine self-esteem and self-love rises we can give up our fictional forms of spirituality and our parasitic and predatory thought and behavior that lie at the heart of our ongoing degenerative, dissonant removal from Life’s Truth. With a renewed sense of sincerity and commitment we give up our unconscious drive for extermination and as a consequence renew our sense of purpose and pleasurable “quality” of our life. As such we heal the pact we have with the creator at the core of our being and so become transformed in the light of that creator. Confidence in and fidelity to the force of Life will build throughout the ages, such that the disillusionment, confusion and fear we now feel will never again infest the human species and impinge on our spiritual progress. Our instant for knowledge of the “Way of Life” will become forever stronger, such that we become guardians and protectors of God’s creation.

It serves our best interests to do so, because the Life Way is that which will give us the highest meaning and satisfisfying experience within our lifetime. Living in tune with the Lifeforce is how we promote the well-Being of our children, the survival of the species and the health of Earth herself. If in fact we fail to learn the correct operation of spaceship Earth, there is little hope of us waking up enough to inhabit other star systems. Thus our collective spiritual realization here on Terra will determine whether we go to the stars as a contagious disease of epic proportions, or whether we go to the stars as beneficent healers, nurturers, guardians and redeemers of Life’s Way living as One with the very force of creation itself. And so become as Gods in the eyes of the Universe that created us. Let the Universe’s love become our love and we unleash the awesome powers of creation itself.

It is up to us, not to a God to save us. Only we can align ourselves with the animating force that flows through us. And so continue the experiment of love unto Eternity. And thus begin the galactic city of Man.

Know ye O’Mystic by the products of your love.

THE SPHINX AND THE RAINBOW AND THE URGE FOR IMMORTALITY

The sphinx represents the unification of body, mind and soul—the Merkerba of light by which we evolve. The spark of life, (the soul, the light body) of each individual monad of life is associated with and derived from the specific DNA of each individual life form. While living the light of life radiates out from all living things, affecting the environment with its soul print and infusing the memory of its vibration into the surrounding environment whether it be living, inanimate or zeropoint. When the individual organisms die the light of life goes out as the cells no longer produce energy. There are reports of a gush of light leaving a dead creature at the point of death…then other biophotons might slowly ebb more slowly out of the tissue. Spirit is that which animates matter. angel

But the light from a dead organism doesn’t re-enter another life form in what is called transmigration or multiple lifetimes, for each individual life has its own DNA code, its own soul and its own destiny. The release of light from a dead human for example would be little different from the fate of photons leaving a candle. They just dissipate into the surrounding air…perhaps these photons travel in space to infinity…and in this sense life is immortal as we Nova out into the Universe for all time.

The sense of immortality can be achieved through transpersonal spiritual development…increasing the depth and breadth of the human experience. It is achieve through sublime coherence of body, mind and soul such that our cosmic wisdom or gnosis is experienced. Then on receiving our own specific illumination that is related to our particular DNA or soul print, if we then give this gift to the rest of the living tree and feed the living system of Gaia with our wisdom and care (Kairos), then we get to grasp what it is to be a fully functional “Hu-man” and sense the Eternal Divine within our body, mind and soul while we are alive.

If we do not achieve this culminating synthesis of being within our lifetime, then we are preoccupied by ideas of reincarnation as a hedge against our frustration of being unable to fully incarnate. Once the human species can be educated into rationality and logic, and spiritual philosophy evolves beyond this dark age we are presently in—then we will arrive at a Mystic Civilization in which all individuals give their divine gifts, and are coordinated on subtle and etheric levels globally, in order to create the greatest flowering of Hu-man potentiality the Earth has ever seen. We therefore have a responsibility, within our lifetime, to further our own contact with Sophia, our own Gnostic wisdom as much as we can and seed it into the human community and the living tree.

Knowledge from the Void is felt first in the pull of Lifeforce arising from the solar plexus. This then burns in the heart with gnostic passion, radiating out from us like a Chinook Wind. Given time, allowing and reception—a reverent potent waiting—this soul illumination will then bring forth is cosmic mystery and awe us with its majesty into devotional commitment to Life and doing the right thing. Only this priori wisdom has the power and complexity, the purity, simplicity and honesty to pull humanity out of our downhill slide. The mind, in its efforts to survive and look good, will continue to fabricate solutions that only create more problems. Thus we must look to the greatest scientific mystics through the ages and learn from their teachings, to seed our own souls growth.

If we fail to do this and cling to our consolatory myths of life after death we forfeit our one chance at the experience of our own immortality through more perfect contact with the living universe that created us. In ecstasy of the true wisdom embrace we go forth healed and whole down the path of life. Having soulved once and for all time the riddle of the Sphinx and the Sophistic wisdom that she evokes through our hearts from the womb of creation. By being open to receiving the knowledge of Sophia and the wisdom of the universe, we learn how to tread the path of the Mystic into the Mystic Age.

The urge for immortality is not wrong it is just misguided through centuries of misinformation by religious manipulators. We now must turn toward the ardent desire for our own individual divine wisdom, our own connection to Eternity through the reception of knowledge that only “we” can bring into the world. What greater cause, meaning and purpose could we find in life than this. How great will be our coherent path of ever greater power and Presence and wisdom and knowing. In search of ourselves we discover the Universe in Love.

nice...  and that responsibility should be willingly and freely carried out without turning it into a way to make a living, as so many of the new capitalist bhodisattvas (wannabes) are trying to do.  unless i'm wrong....... Beats me

I think making a living should be seemless with our Being or gnosis...it is just when our efforts come from fear/shame/anger that our attempted benevolence falls on rocky ground because it is coming from the wrong source.
Ultimately the eco-nomy needs to be founded on felt-sensitivity to truth and Life-eros.

It is apparent that as we are in a situation that we can do nothing about (that the earth is being swallowed by the evil hand of greed and ignorance), and so we must turn to the inner work at last as the last re-sort.

Last night till 2am wrote a nice piece on Mr. Brown coming to town and turning ones britches upside down, but the void ate it up.
He is femominell! A tour de force of emotional healing. My brainstem and cerebellum were throbbing so much I got a headache when I left.
You know you are in the presence of a great teacher when he seems to be talking specifically to you, like in your face.
He is undisputedly the greatest teacher on the planet, because his message is so timely, and he delivers it in such style and effect.

I was thinking could he have anything left to give, he has been on the road for years. Well he floored me, turned me around. I lost my way both there and back; the home journey was a three hour walk, whereas it should have taken 1.
The territory is more complex than the map.

Anyway Mr. Brown is perhaps ultimate emotional food because he "has" done the work. I tried to hold my father in my belly for g-estating...all I got were mild pangs of affection laced with sweet sorrow.

Definitely the most advanced and entertaining, and satisfying of the modern neovedantans...altho I don't think you can call him that...

Perhaps "the living Christ" "the unguru guru" "trans-parent" "awakened one" "eloquent showman with impeccable lines" "ordinary bloke of distinction" but really he is best described as "a superlative meal of delectable emotional food of unsurpassed integrity."

jana, i remember a while back you posted a link to a couple interviews with mr. brown and i remember liking those.   i've been checking out his portal and in the thank you - completion letter he sums up what i was trying to say much better than i ever could. here are some pertinent points :

I wanted The Presence Process procedure to run free of the greedy grasps of the profiteering agendas of this world and the organizations posing as ‘spiritual’, but which are actually camouflaged businesses using spirituality as another commodity.

I knew there would be many challenges in placing a self-facilitation technology into a world that unconsciously worshiped being facilitated by somebody or something seemingly outside of ones personal experience.

Most of humanity is indoctrinated through politics, commerce, and religion into robotically denying our own experience in favor of a more superior one being offered to us by another.

Whoever offers us an experience other than the one we are currently having becomes our point of worship. The moment we bow down in obedience or compliance to this point of worship we are lost to the validity of our own lives. We then wander unconsciously into the wilderness of another's illusions. This subsequent state of hypnosis is accepted as normal human behavior.

Because it really works, others would want to bake it into a big pie so they could sell off the pieces for profit.

Others would want to form ‘Presence Process Groups’ so they could appear qualified and competent in something.

Individuals would attempt to use it as a means to project their unintegrated emotional condition upon others.

Hell, I may even get swept up in the tide of its impact and want to use it ‘to become somebody who is doing something special’! I am after all a Leo.

Most of us human beings, especially when we are emotionally undeveloped, are looking for ‘a guru’ - or at least someone to fix us - or at least someone to tell us what to do.

Only priests, politicians, pharmaceutical reps, advertising agencies, egomaniacal radio and television hosts, and cult leaders invite the opportunity at this point of our evolutionary experience to stand up in front of a crowd and behave as if they know what to do. And, only our hypnotic trance leads us into believing such individuals.

My role in this journey had to be purpose-driven and not career-orientated. In other words – I had a job to get done – as opposed to trying to turn this work into ‘my job’.

I think it probably helps to come from south africa, have big ears, and have had a painful neurological condition. I like his cool.

Yea, Michael Brown's work is good. It is exactly the kind of work we as a species need to do to evolve the higher brain, because we are still stuck in the solar plexus, having not known "how" to successfully process and integrate emotion. We as a species are constantly being nasty to ourselves and each other, so the human amoeba bumps into others through the reactive backlash of scar tissue.

My Inner Arts involves "putting energy/light/conscious/love" into the void represented by an organ (center of emotion)  that has been denied and abandoned...and thereby changing its frequency reintegrating it into the whole.
The Presence Process is similar but involves a process of brewing ones specific triggers in the belly/solar plexus, allowing them to be there without backing away in which case the counterforce of suppression that we were engaged in to stuff this trigger down dissipates in the "allowing-unconditional love" space we provide. With no counterforce the charge is able to disperse and we ultimately heal or "evolve" our triggers in this fashion. As KW what is repressed cannot evolve.

Couple of guys were talking about how we only use 10% of our mental capacity. And I said, yea just think what we could be if we stopped suppressing. The younger guy's dumb blond trigger must have kicked in because he said "Oh yea! we are so suppressed." Sarcastically. I then said, I meant "inner suppression." And he didn't even buy that as he rushed out the door.

Point being, if there is another latent 90% of consciousness awaiting, what is that, where is it, and why isn't it operating now! I believe that it is do to the hundreds of thousands, the millions of years of trauma we have been exposed to and spread about. The trauma creates scar tissue, miasmas, cut off areas that prevent higher integration and synthesis of all the parts of the human temple.

He made a joke about the manifesting powers of the Secret, saying that if focused attention, visualization and wishful thinking could get us what we “want” then every man would be having lots of sex. Good point, in describing a culture that goes thru all manner of effort to set up distractions from processing our “core”…and that we are outer focused…looking for the answers, medicine and succor outside. Of course there is the irony that he is yet another Christ figure telling the people that the Kingdom of Heaven resides within. Brown says, it is about ending this search through integration - that true peace is a consequence of living the life of our unchanging self, what he calls the vibrational self.

My only beef with his presentation was that he leaned too heavily toward the yin, dissolving, dying part of the cycle…in which he talked of the futility of efforting, fixing, and the drama of doing. This is a fixation, a hole in metaphysical theory that the Vedantans get stuck in also. Sure there is the need to stop and take care of emotional house cleaning in order to not spread ones shit around…because no one else can make us happy anyways…so we have to claim total responsibility for our own experience. That is very important, but he failed to really point to where that cleansing might lead, and the enhanced creativity, visionary capacity, higher human functioning, gnosis, spiritual community, global networking and mystic civilization building that comes after it.

He pointed out the pitfall of wildly looking about for what was going to “save” us whether it be New Energy, permaculture etc…. and that the inner work to breed peace and equanimity was the most important thing. However the passivity of the boomer generation and the ones after them, the yin stance in the face of evil occult government, is what got America into this tough situation where the vital juices of the people are being shunted off to feed the war machine, while things fall apart on the home front. That is not homeland security.

Passivity in the face of overwhelming problems is one of the main problems we face. And we are passive aggressive because we are unsure of ourselves, confused, ADD, panicked. Sure we must do the inner work as the last resort to our failed efforts, and then we must go in peace to proactively build a better world. For the inner work means nothing without the outer work and vice versa.

Michael Brown is so developed in emotional integration that the words-ideas-transmission he gives lights up the brainstem and cerebellum, where the major "numbing" trauma resides. KWs presence, without him even talking set up a profound affect in the prefrontal lobes. Ideally in a perfect world you would alternate satsangs between the two...to alter, to change that is...then there would be more profound integration/facilliation.

At this time, it takes this kind of "specialization" in deep resonators (people who are able to get it together) in order to facilitate the species. Thus there is a need for professional Jnanas, Baktis, Jokers and the whole cast of the court. Like what we do with romantic interests, we tend to treat our teachers like "now here is the One" according to our needs/imbalances at the time.

In color therapy you give the person the opposite of the color they choose. Perhaps with teacher therapy or the teacher challenge we need to be choosing the very opposite of what we "want." Such that we get what we need.

There is no objective truth, there is only perspective growing towards a Universal truth which can never be known because the horizon keeps receding.

“Until the notion of objective truth has been reinstated in its rightful position, all our attempts to communicate, whether with one or another, or with the superpowers, are doomed to end in frustration.” 127 The Priceless Jewel, Sangharakshita

The Cessation of Craving
With the cessation of craving one attains nirvana, or the Unconditioned. Passing beyond the cyclic (reactive circle of karma) which the left brain linear  mode of time (Chronos) embodies through our seeking of one “want” after another. We enter the state of irreversible spiritual creativity (spontaneous, synchronicity) with its spiral time (Kairos) when our progress is not deflated by reactivity to conditions.

How to give birth to our larger capacities latent within the hard nutshell of our reactive defense system. This is the Alchemical Mystery. The “Secret” involves healing the heart and using the heart field to heal and integrate the body…calling all our lost orphans home to a sublime synthesis of being.

The Bodhisattva Principle of infinite compassion is the key to the evolution of consciousness because as we emit light (Gamma Rays) from our pineal gland to illuminate the entire universe, we then simultaneously overcome our sense of separation and isolation from the whole which is the causal factor in our distress, craving and seeking. Through making trans-parent the self that we built in reaction to conditions, we can then integrate body, mind and soul enough to achieve a felt sensitivity to the needs of others which penetrates through the veil of their own removal – in order to truly facilitate and nurture their spirit.  Thus we learn a new form of giving and receiving that is not based on deprivation, but on radiance and facilitation of the One.

In order to generate this grand synthesis, through which we are then able to grow into the other 90% of our latent potential, the entrenched trigger happy circuitry of aggression, frustration, fear, guilt, shame and sorrow must be evolved through feeling into the repression at the heart of the charge. As we fully own up to the reality of our own emotional body, the mind and soul can then have access to the deepest parts of us locked within the numbness, that infests our being with eternal unrest, such that we remain forever on the surface of existence, unable to enter the Now or float in complete ease in the ocean of the unified field that is God…the interconnectivity of all that is.

Unconditionally holding-with the tension at the edge of our present sense of separation and not moving away or messing with it, we then are able to penetrate through the hymen between the conditioned and unconditioned self. Thus become transparent to the limitless depths of our deeper nature. Entering the hymenal vibration again and again, we allow our God-self to emerge from the dissonant noise of our suffering…order from chaos, through allowing and focusing on the reality of the chaos. Then through the chaos into the ecstasy of reunion.

ps: The reference to hymen and hymenal, was due to the book in front of me at the church where MB spoke...I thought yea, that is a perfect metaphor for the atunement, alignment, necessary to grow more deeply into the vibrational self.

Tonight I have been spraying my face alot with cherokee water (ORMUS trap water from Cherokeegold.com) and I have some sticks of celery that seems so potent that they must have been covered with peppermint essential oil or something.

In one perspective he is offering a palliative to turn inward, as we go thru the cervix in our birthing process. It is good to be reminded that we are in global circumstances we can do nothing about, or we will indeed get hideously frustrated (more dissonance) over our inability to effect change.

Artists, creators, if they are conscious of their process...love the frustration...which is similar to but greater than a sexual heat...that comes with the cooking of the tension of opposites, paradoxes, polarities, and the unsolvable problems or mysteries. For they know that just like in sex, if the frustration or build up to climax is hot, then the orgasm is going to be a big one.

After many repetitions of the muses arrival, which fuels the strength to discipline oneself in the creation of the divine directive...one finds out that the poem, painting, book etc...is only as good as the intensity of the biological and spiritual flowering that produced it. The "tension" is not so much in the need to force it to happen or "arrive," it is in being able to drop the skin of the former vibration and "contain" the awesome power and heat of the butterfly daimon without wanting to retreat to our unilluminated condition in which response-ability to self, consciousness and world is less. In the beginning we prefer to goof of and remain our pupae self...especially since the presentation of genius to ones surrounding folk is usually met with ridicule and distain...for people do not like to be reminded of their genius within, which they themselves have not begun to harvest.

Genuine creativity...because it is a step outside the box...requires enormous courage, strength, fortitude and an indifference to the opinion of others. A blind faith—in order to keep going...to give birth to that yet unborn...to a world that is likely to punish you for your gift or exploit your muse-child.

Part of the frustration of the creative process is this, coupled with the creativity guilt for having stepped out of the box and poked our head above the crowd (Rollo May). Even so we must use this incongruence and injustice to further our commitment to the process of creative birth itself. For if we fail to respect the ecstatic force of divine revelation and higher order, then we too, along with the rest of the crowd, have lost our reason for living. Only we "know" - we have betrayed ourselves through submission to the cacophony of social dissonance that would...if we listened to it and believed that madness...drive everything in creation back into the dust from which it sprung.

Genuine creativity...because it is a step outside the box...requires enormous courage, strength, fortitude and an indifference to the opinion of others. The creative process is simply allowing or derepressing your true, unique, divine Self…through stepping out of Man’s time (Chronos) and into God’s time (Kairos). The flow of the divine muse is first felt through the emotional body and gestated in the solar plexus. When the charge is ripe it rises up to inform the heart and then illuminates the brain and is “received” as gnostic insight or revelation. Emotional repression and ill-use of emotion perverts and aborts the creative process of Self discovery. Spectacular things are not had by emotional repression, but by emotional evolution and expression. Repression amounts to stagnation, in which case all you get is recursive status quo and unconscious reactivity.

In the Presence Process I think Michael Brown is saying that...we make that which is unconscious conscious...and thereby spiritual mature to a deeper, more profound and real world. Chasing after succor and fixes in an effort to avoid our real human and spiritual needs is not exactly sane...but the entire species almost is still engaged in this behavior...behavior which can only need to increasing dissatisfaction, disillusionment and deprivation of real need.

Isn't the mind answering to the emotions with every thought? The mind is in lockstep with the emotions. Seems like the problem might be that the mind is somehow favoring some emotional attachments over others. For example, fear of pain exhibits a stronger correlation to behavior, and therefore more control over thoughts, than does desire for pleasure. Control of the mind is best approached by control of the emotions.

EmbarrassedHave you tried to control your mind lately.
I would say emotional detoxification and building up the physical body allows the mind to work in ways that are not self&other limiting. Haven't really done any presence process work yet, but the book is enormously reassuring.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=PG_N7h2J6Lo&feature=related —Unter Falscher Flagge…One of the absolute best 911 accounts, from Germany!!!

When you look at the psychic heat and passion generated by the Germans in that video, you begin to see that the American versions are tame by comparison...the older Germans are perhaps some of the sanest people on the planet right now because they are closest to the truth of the potential evil of our species. Most other people are still in lala land unless they experience this kind of genocide first hand. Eventually I imagine the Iraqi people will be fiercely indignant at the abuse the US has lumped on them, and in the long term when the full consequences of the DU poisoning of the desert becomes apparent...America will see some kind of backlash for this for eternity.

When you look at what Monsanto is doing, and the World Food Org Codex Alimentarius...you see that the ring of power are most definitely into depopulation. However it is a slow process...perhaps 50 years of slow starvation, genetic deterioration and disruption of the immune system. Not just our immune system however, but the immune system of all animals and the ecosystem. At this point it is largely the uninformed "white trash" and the third world countries that are most at risk for the die back...perhaps this cull effort will merely stabilize the growing world population.

My game plan is this:
•Write a book that explains the degenerative complex and the lifestyle changes necessary to turn the species away from its death march.
•Conduct a 5 year biz selling evolutionary products to generate capital for educational permaculture living farm communities, reforestation, fruit tree planting, educational movies and books etc...(Need business partner)
•Remineralize using mostly wheatgrass, kelp and spirulina...build body reserves. Remineralize whatever soil I have to work with be it sprouting compost or land.
•Have fun with it!

Think outside the box. Embrace everything very lightly, dismiss nothing. All details are significant. That which is possible is inevitable. Events are predestined, we choose only whether to particiapte or not.
