Patriarchal is not a good term for it...it would be better termed anti-biogenic, because the inner violence is generated by life-devitalizing practices like cooking food, agriculture, alcohol etc... This atomic dissonance generates the self-hatred, separate-self-sense, insensitivity and lack of emotional self-knowledge whereby the dominant/submissive and hierarchical social structures come about.

You are right, women "cook" the food which handicaps their men and children.

I prefer to use the term pyramidal than patriarchal...for what we are really talking about is the consolidation of power. The lust for power probably unfolds somewhat like this: need, desire, frustration, anger, legitimization, orthodoxy, dogmatism, tyrranny, War, disease/death, redemption. take a bow

The problem to which you allude, the one with the elusive label, is quite adequately explained by the Jungian model. To wit, the occult inner aspect of the self or shadow, being disowned and despised, is then projected onto others allowing for all kinds of hideous cruelty. In other words, the ego’s defense mechanisms are violent and completely detached from any kind of empathy for the ‘other’ The goal is therefore to utterly destroy the shadow by any means necessary because it threatens the sovereignty of the ego. But because the shadow is continually projected onto the inhabitants of the outside world, we never run out of enemies. The killing just continues. What we despise about the world says more about us than it does the world. We’re pinning that which we don’t like about ourselves onto everything that moves. Then chasing each poor sap down in a murderous rage. It would perhaps be somewhat comical if the consequences weren’t so often tragic and senseless.

 Sad

As you've said:

Quote
Difficulty, struggle and suffering arise through the inertial hold the past has over us. Transformation itself is not difficult, rather it is our illusory belief in the fixity of the former known world that keeps us held back from the natural speed and Flow of Spirit’s unfolding. Fear is at the source of the physical and mental plaques. Fear breeds hesitancy and weights our responses such that we fall out of sync with God’s Time (Kairos). Caught on this low functioning cycle we can never raise our energy and synchronicity enough to feel tuned in and connected. Thus the fear continues, gestating more inertia, hesitancy, resistance and belief in our limited worldview conditioned by fear.
This fear leads to violence, breeding more fear, etc.

“The psychological concomitants of the present war [ww I]- above all the incredible brutalization of public opinion, the mutual slanderings, the unprecedented fury of destruction, the monstrous flood of lies, and man’s incapacity to call a halt to the bloody demon- are uniquely fitted to force upon the attention of every thinking person the problem of the chaotic unconscious which slumbers uneasily beneath the ordered world of consciousness. The war has pitilessly revealed to civilized man that he is still a barbarian, and has at the same time shown what an iron scourge lies in store for him if ever again he should be tempted to make his neighbor responsible for his own evil qualities.” ~ Jung

Last few nights I have been looking at youtube on the Philistines, Myceneans, ancient weapons, Troy...check out the clips of the movie 300!
An iron sword will cut through a bronze shield. the Thera eruption is thought to have occurred 1628/7 B.C.E. may have displaced the Philistines from Crete,
The Philistines came from Crete by way of Cypress and were joined by others from Greece and refugees of the Trojan wars. 1194–1184 BC)  A Scientific Search for Religious Truth - by Phil Mund

The violent eruption of Thera heralded in the iron age.
Iron smelting in India may well be placed as early as the 1600 BC but generally in Europe and the Middle East the iron age is consider to be around 1200 - 550 B.C.
Since the invention of iron the human imprint on the globe has risen geometrically, for along with iron age and the iron axe came deforestation and plowing of fields. Both practices lead to environmental degradation, climate change and eventual devitalization of the food supply.

Mysteries of the Bible - Archenemy - The Philistines Part 1
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilvJflWGFsM

The Philistines were probably Creteans displaced to Cypress during the Thera volcanic eruption...when upon the iron age came about and then they moved down to Palestine (Israel)

Projection whether it be of guardianship onto authority figure, demons onto enemy, divinity onto Gods, destiny onto stars, or love onto lover...is just a means of avoiding our Wholeness and divinity. Whether they be light or shadow, we become real-ized (empowered) by calling our projected chickens home to roost.

The Lapis of the alchemists, the Philosopher's Stone, is the Son of God, both meekness and strength: the Lamb and the Lion united in one. This is symbolized by the Maltese cross where the balance of heaven and earth unites the inner and the outer to real-ize the Power of virtue. Violence is power without wisdom and knowledge without discrimination. Love-Wisdom-Power are really one and the same…personal integrity, ie: integration with the Whole.

Ok...regarding lessons learned in medieval Boulder...

POO Tenet...

Be The Change—We change the world by modeling the world we want to live in. Trying to manipulate reality by magic and mythic means to change our outer circumstance or other people, such as via ceremony, spells or “working” on the astral can only end up hurting ourselves. For the will to force and exclude is derived from anger, and anger disintegrates, while love builds and integrates. Therefore to change the world—we work deeper and more intensely on ourselves. A more profound radiance of vision-logic love will effortlessly change our world more to our liking through the power of Grace.

I have enough POO tenets to laminate now, will give one to the Boss for Xmas... Woo Hoo! Lips Sealed

Science is orthodox magic. Today's magic is tomorrow's science.

Grace has transfromed my 'liking' to conform more to the world. Why transform the world when you can more easily transform your 'liking'? Because it doesn't fit the hero myth? It's already blown if the job is effortless.

Yea I was just listening to the Ludwig Wittgenstein talks on Open Source Integral.

"Grace has transformed my 'liking' to conform more to the world."

To a certain extent our disenchantment with the world is somewhat fictictous because there are an infinite amount of places, things, experiences, people, situations on which we could place our attention. So if we find causes and stuff to fight against, we are choosing this particular battle on which to sharpen our sword. We could ask, why this and not that? Why here and not there? The art of life appears to be how we tune our radio, and where we point our compass.

I don't think conforming to the world is advisable however, more a meta-adaptation through a resound acceptance of what is. We are moving into a "creative" mode in which we bring out the best in a situation without imposing our negative will to force change toward our liking. It is lessons we need to learn as we go global.

It's a matter of tuning into my own inner essence and feeling, on a case by case basis, what resonates and what doesn't. Drop out of what doesn't fit my essence and chase what does. Paying dues all the way, gladly.

You are lucky to find that which you resonate with...I seldom find anything of merit or depth to include in my sphere of the personal...and if I do it is only for a few minutes. I do not have a a bunch of post-conventional, self-illuminated hunks and goddesses beating down my door...that is why I focus on my writing.
The reality of creative, visionary community is yet to be born. I was dreaming of a few resonant folks this morning.

I am listening to an excellent audio book on Marie Antoinette.

that's a good definition and restatement of Campbell's "follow your bliss" idea, which is a process, like everything else.  love the paying dues all the way, gladly,...  nothing is for free, there is a personal, internal "cost" of living in the world, and the state of mind of how it is "paid" frames the results.  work=play, play=work.   Wink

The idea of God or the sense of infinity is a symbiotic arising with the sense of self and fear of death...
Unity consciousness and the sense of collective continuum, ie: whole person integration and healing of the separate-self-sense, are necessary to overcome the magic, mythic, fundamentalist and militant religious ideologies and mental illnesses. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fuvHKnE_M8&feature=channel  —German Science program on Michael Persinger’s brain stuff.

Yay....Robert Sapolsky's video is out and can be bought on DVD!

“Killer Stress: A National Geographic Special.” The premieres will be shown on 24th September, 2008 at 8 p.m. exclusively on PBS.
A joint venture of Stanford University and National Geographic, Stress: Portrait of a Killer will be shown on KQED Channel 9. It will feature Robert Sapolsky. This is a documentary that attempts to trace the roots of stress.

Stress: Portrait of a Killer DVD
Over the last three decades, science has been advancing our understanding of stress—how it impacts our bodies and how our social standing can make us more or less susceptible.

From baboon troops on the plains of Africa, to neuroscience labs at Stanford University, scientists are revealing just how lethal stress can be. Research reveals that the impact of stress can be found deep within us, shrinking our brains, adding fat to our bellies, even unraveling our chromosomes.

Yet understanding how stress works can help us figure out ways to combat it and how to live a life free of the tyranny of this contemporary plague. In Stress: Portrait of a Killer, scientific discoveries in the field and in the lab prove that stress is not a state of mind, but something measurable and dangerous.

Yeah Jim, nothing is free. I like to think in terms of opportunity cost. Is this worth it? Cosmic cost-benefit analysis. Every cloud has a silver lining and every silver lining has a touch of gray.

Sapolsky seems to have found that the an individual's average stress level is inversely proportional to their level of social status. Stress is associated with mental states, but only after the brain is marinated with the stress hormones that give rise to them. Stress results in certain mental states but is not identical with them, rather they are a reaction to the stress. Somehow there gets to be some sort of self-perpetuating feedback loop where the mental state adds fuel to produce more stress, etc.

Moral of the story...if you hang out with baboons, you are going to get screwed.
Same goes for Americans.
Love this wind!

Hey I figured out how to stop the madness.
Israel needs to give up all the territory between the West Bank and the Gaza strip.
And the Hamas need to be given all the pot and hash they want and even if they don't want...plus at least one American young girl each. Thus saving American youth from a life of obesity and TV...giving local farmers a job growing pot...and Israel needs to stop, stop I say frecking stop trying to snowjob the western world by using "female" military commentators to beg their pathetic position.

I hear the Polish heraldry is known by its tinctures...herbs. I made up an anti-inertia tincture (recipe available on request) and just looked at my bottle just now, and realize this wind has stimulated me to drink 1/2 a cup of the stuff...stress relief.
Inertia removed first I want to appeal for any psi activity people might be having around the 1-2-3?

Hmm, do you think we are in for a 1-2-3 punch...
First a fake CIA attack in India on Americans blaming the Pakistanis
Then a fake Israel attack on Gaza courtesy of Washington blaming Palestinians
And lastly a Falscher Flagge on Homeland territory blaming Iranians?

Anyone "see" any kind of trauma events coming?

As animals we tend to remember that which we need to fear in order to ensure our survival. Memories especially those involving trauma, may be encoded on our DNA. Now Courtney Miller and David Sweatt of the University of Alabama in Birmingham say that long-term memories may be preserved by a process called DNA methylation - the addition of chemical caps called methyl groups onto our DNA. Many genes are already coated with methyl groups. When a cell divides, this "cellular memory" is passed on and tells the new cell what type it is - a kidney cell, for example. Miller and Sweatt argue that in neurons, methyl groups also help to control the exact pattern of protein expression needed to maintain the synapses that make up memories. They found that methylation was involved in creating short-term memories in the hippocampus. Further more the methyl changes may be anchoring the memory of the shock into long-term memory, not just controlling a process involved in memory formation. "We think we're seeing short-term memories forming in the hippocampus and slowly turning into long-term memories in the cortex," says Miller
