Hey Francis I am working on my POO again...what do you thing so far....

TENETS
PRAGMATIC OUTSTANDING OPERATIONS

Truth Beyond the Known—The license of the Muse is "sovereignty," so you must make a pact with the universe to live your truth beyond "the society of all men." In this way you lose your loneliness, plus human relations get better also, because you no longer have to sell yourself out to fill up the wound/hole of deprivation. So the communion or pact with God/Universe is the first step...this is the most holy of honoring. A one-on-one relationship with creation is the first pragmatic tenet.

Unified Field—Spirituality or God is not some special "other" to be studied apart from life, or as an apex to a hierarchy of being. Everything is sacred and nothing is sacred! The body is just as sacred as the spirit that empowers it. Matter is equal in importance to energy or consciousness...these can only be distinguished in the mind, and we must be wary of mental-arrogance which separates us from life and existence. It enhances our appreciation and practicality when we feel that everything is sacred and nothing is sacred. We become rooted into the cosmos as the mind takes a rest from its divisions. A pragmatic nonseparation ie: reverence for and communion with all creation is the second tenet.

Amplified Witness—As we stabilize the Witness on any state or emotion the difficulty of that state starts dissolving, because the witness is beyond states. The Witness becomes like a lifeline that pulls us out of the quicksand of a difficult state. Such is the power of Universal objectivity. The third tenet is that the Witness can pull us out of any hole of embeddedness.

Rational Penetration—"Rationality" and "logic" connote the dividing line and bridge between psychic entropy and psychic syntropy and the means to creating increased order and complexity. To actually be contributing to human evolution in a proactive manner one must have achieved a degree of mental stability through scientific rationalism...otherwise one is just contributing to ongoing dismantling and chaos. Increasing rational disclosure of the unknown is the means to psychic order and evolution.

Letting Go—The old must be released for the new to be born. “Creativity and destruction arise mutually and both need to be accommodated for proper transmission (dissipation) of vital energy. If one of these is ignored or blocked, a dangerous imbalance of vital energy can result. Symptoms include mania, boredom, depression, anger, etc.” John.

Evolve Maps—The only way we can rise above our present dark age is to constantly evolve our maps and language that we use to diagnose and communicate our reality...if the maps do not evolve, we essentially stagnate at the same infantile-primitive concept of reality which "others" have constructed for us.

Relanguaging—All renaissance in human history are associated with a reworking and relanguaging of our conceptualization of reality...keeping in mind that no matter how good the map, it is always just a facsimile and not the territory itself!

Trans-reactivity—The Will must be cultivated to operate beyond reactivity to happenstance through deep understanding of our primate origins, animal-behavior patterns, humanity, the human predicament and its historical context. The Presence Process by Michael Brown gives us a method of transcending reactivity.

Laissez-faire—We must develop a transcendent laissez-faire attitude toward happenstance in order to rise above reactivity to events and become “creative” with the play of life. Positive feedback keeps us on course with our target goal. Negative feedback also allows us to make corrective adjustments whenever we go off course due to entropy. "A negative attitude is any attitude that blinds us to solutions. A positive attitude is any attitude that opens our minds so that we can see them." U.S. Anderson

Responsible Boundaries—We do not help others by allowing them to be lax and doing their work for them. For spiritual community to form, and for Positive Pragmatic Outstanding Operations to work in keeping the human spirit healthy...all members of a community must be inspired to live in a spiritually "activated" manner in which there is no room for top-dogs and bottom-dogs, masters and slaves and slackers.

Obedience to the Muse—Kundalini cannot be separated from Eros or the Muse...the soul and Kundalini appear to be the SAME THING. More than anything it's attunement and obedience to one's Muse that brings on an awakening...because one could say that one's Muse IS the kundalini force. So it will tell one what one needs for it to come forth. As yourself what you need to become more realized and more whole.

Trans-symbolic—Pragmatic Outstanding Operations doesn’t have any icons, rituals or beliefs. The essence of POO is to offer your greatest gift for the largest picture. In order to rise to rational pragmatism one needs to have both mastered ones personal reactivity triggers, and have transcended unconscious enmeshment in the archetypal, symbolic and associative mind. The pragmatic method involves “The attitude of looking away from first things, principles, ‘categories,’ supposed necessities; and of looking towards last things, fruits, consequences, fasts.” William James

Post-dogmatism—POO is attempting a rational/transrational spirituality or a perception that is not just a bunch of mythic beliefs, nor is it a set of rigid rules enforced by a superstitious Superego. Spirituality that is enforced by guilt, shame and intimidation is not rational or evolutionary because it interferes with the spontaneous “Will to Live,” our vitality, our childlike joy at being alive, our creativity and efficacy.

Universal Compassion—Basically the foundation of POO is the movement toward a transcultural perception through Universal Compassion that includes ones Self. It necessitates growing beyond the social matrix and operating from ones own umbilical to the Kosmos. POO aims at a penetrating truth revealed in liberating the creative license of the Muse. Basically it is living post-conventionally. POO aims to become impervious to the suppressing mechanisms of social control (disease) and to carve its own trajectory into the future based on “inner” directive.

Cosmic Alignment—If the personal is not in alignment with the universal then you cannot fulfill yourself or anyone else. We could say that Evolution (ie: differentiation + integration) is this drive toward increasing Universality. How do we create new moral and ethical codes that are relevant to a postmodern context? At this point it seems most people are using the term "postconventional" in terms of moral development, however it is a new way of feeling-sensing-embodiment-thinking-intuiting. POO is basically the ongoing investigation and description of the postconventional Universal Hu-man.

Loosing Up—“Pragmatism unstiffens all our theories, limbers them up and sets each one at work. Being nothing essentially new, it harmonizes with many ancient philosophic tendencies. It agrees with nominalism for instance, in always appealing to particulars; with utilitarianism in emphasizing practical aspects; with positivism in its disdain for verbal solutions, useless questions and metaphysical abstractions.” William James (1906)

Personal Sovereignty—The crucial period in human evolution we are now in is the emergence of personal sovereignty or connection to the inner God (and the creation of the rational mystic or Universal Man). While the great initiates intuited and taught this personal divine connection, the religious systems that came after them end up stealing the honey pot and distract people from the inner God—thus we have commercial religions that distance God from people so they have to buy him back again...tell people they are broken, so they can be given redemption at a price. For human survival however, we cannot waste anymore time—we must become inner directed and quit our sheep like fixation on "outer" authority figures.

Meta-Truth—Meta-truth is a Platonic ideal sense of reality that sidesteps the discursive nature of the ego through an Original Blessing lens and mode of operation. Post-ideal pragmatism is pragmatism that is so advanced that it doesn't deal directly or dogmatically with the ideal, but allows for what is, and in so doing prepares the ground for new growth into a higher vibration through an emergent engulfment process. This is a higher soulful approach rather than a dogmatic enforcement of Pure Truth, and probably will go further in eventually bringing more people into the Rational domain.

Let's start here, with the goal. Castaneda writes about 'dusting our connecting link with Intent' which is like your 'umbilical to the Kosmos.' This is like the Christian's "personal relationship with Christ" The prerequisite is acceptance of the model, which involves waking up to the existence of our hidden link to 'divinity'. I think, beyond that, we just need practices that accomplish this goal of living with and widening the connection, then all the other tenets listed just fall out of that more or less naturally. So we're back to meditation, prayer, acceptance, humility, metabolic and psychic energy conservation, chemical and psychic toxin avoidance, etc.

Yes but we have to keep things balanced between yin and yang, which means mother and father compassion and mother and father kick ass! Wink

With regards to remapping so that we can evolve our understanding of reality and our "cosmology" here is my view of reality. The Universe itself is "Spirit" and all that is and isn't. Through countless billions of years of star generations the Universe generates the atoms necessary to formulate life. Through trial, error and happy mutation life gets more complex and ultimately becomes semi-conscious as in humans. Consciousness grows through trial, error and insight to formulate a picture (map) of the way the Universe is put together...the maps of 30,000 years ago, 300 years ago or yesterday need to be continually updated to contemporary standards for logic, evidence, scientific experimentation etc... Since a lot of this sorting out of mind stuff has not been done, much of what humanity thinks about the nature truth is baloney. Since much of our heritage of thought related to spirituality and cosmology has been done by men, and men are are dominators, rapests and pillagers...our inherited view of the  nature of the Cosmos is dissociative, abstracted and perverted beyond all recognition as to the way the Universe is actually put together. Since our maps can only ever be an approximation of the truth, we should at least strive for increasing rationality and increasing objectivity that is transpersonal, transgender and trans anthropomorphic.

The only way to know how something is put together is to pull it apart. If you do this to a watch, for example, it no longer keeps time unless you put it back together. Rationality has effectively pulled the universe apart in the mind and is, by itself, incapable of putting it all back together so that it works again. Integral now claims that “all of ken’s horses and all of ken’s men can put humpty dumpty back together again” into some kind of post-rational utopia. But the post-rational map has yet to be drafted. The pre-rational territory is well mapped and is quite available by common techniques.

All is Spirit. Mind is distilled Spirit and Body is congealed Mind. Spirit divides Itself into categories to construct the contents of the mind. It then projects consciousness into the categories to construct the body. This is evolution: Spirit-->Mind-->Body. Cooperating with evolution in this formulation means using your mind to access spirit and project isolated islands of consciousness (perspectives) into the physical world. Integrating those same perspectives would, in this formulation, amount to de-evolution.

You can use a Ford Model T for its quaintness and nostalgia, but it makes more moral sense to use a Meyer Water Car! The subtlety and usefulness of spiritual science can and must evolve.

Here is an example of reforms undertaken when urbanization outgrew agricultural production/supply methods:

Around the year 600 B.C., and while Lycurgus was reforming the legal system of the Spartan state, Athens faced a deepening political crisis. Those farmers who supplied the city-state with food could not keep up with demand because the Athenian population had grown too quickly. Farmers began to trade their land to obtain food and quickly went bankrupt as they traded away their last piece of land. The crisis was solved in 594 B.C. when the Athenians gave control over to  Solon (c.640-c.559 B.C.), a former high official. In his role as archon, Solon cancelled all agricultural debts and announced that all slaves were free. He also passed constitutional reforms that divided Athenian subjects into four classes based on their annual agricultural production rather than birth. Members of the three highest orders could hold public office.

Solon's system excluded all those people who did not own any productive land – women, children, slaves, resident aliens, artisans and merchants. However, with the constitutional reforms of Solon, men from newer and less-established families could work their way up economically and achieve positions of political leadership. Solon did not end the agricultural crisis in Greece and so factional strife remained.

I dig the way Solon insisted it was the citizens duty to be involved in the governship of the state or else he/she was classed as an “idiot!”

Within the society of a Greek polis – all citizens were intimately and directly involved in politics, justice, military service, religious ceremonies, intellectual discussion, athletics and artistic pursuits. To shirk one's responsibilities was not only rare but reprehensible in the eyes of the Greek citizen. Greek citizens did not have rights, but duties. A citizen who did not fulfill his duties was socially disruptive. At the polis of Sparta, such a citizen was called "an Inferior." At Athens, a citizen who held no official position or who was not a habitual orator in the Assembly was branded as idiotai. Those who lived within the confines of a city state considered everyone else to be inferior. Furthermore, those people who did not speak Greek were referred to as barbar, the root of our word barbarian.

The mind is a bit like moonshine, blotting out large portions of reality. Good one. At least according to this highly speculative model.

Quote
All is Spirit.

Once I decided to make this a meditation mantra because it was so easily said plus it sounded profound. Thirty five seconds into the first usage I also realized that it was entirely meaningless, especially since I had/have yet to hear a definition of Spirit that was adequate for making sense of the statement or to provide it with any functional value.  So I switched to "All is All" because it was so easily said plus it sounded amusing.  Cheesy

Spirit is like a Grand Unified Theory (GUT)...it is basically everything not just the animating force in living things, because you do not get living things without an entire Universe as context. Soul, however is the energy-consciousness component associated with an organisms formative composition of the DNA and cells. This is why reincarnation is a bogus idea, because it is the genetic structure built over 3.5 billion years that determines the soul of each individual lifeform. Why then would some noncorporal soul floating around suddenly zap into a zygote which already has its own DNA soul-print? For starters you cannot have soul separated from its atomic, material structure...because soul IS the energy-consciousness involved in the animation of living molecules...it is the morphogenic field of coherent light and consciousness/communication.

Biophotons you could say are the matrix of soul...the pattern of which is determined by the structure of the DNA and other molecules in the body. Photons have an inclusive property...they love to be in the same state at the same time...thus are the ideal medium for superconducting a coherent morphogenic field. The crystaline structure of the DNA acts as a capacitor of zeropoint energy, perhaps swopping particles between our 3D spacetime and the hyperdiamension. Spiritual practices and the development and synchronization of the brain, no doubt allows for more sophisticated gene expression, which in turn increases the coherency in the biophoton field matrix and alters the individuals transparency or relationship with zeropoint. This would account for the strange phenomena mentioned in spiritual traditions such as levitation, translocation, spontaneous combustion (rainbow body); as well as psi phenomena such as precognition and nonlocal effects like telepathy and biological magnetism.

Like Murry Gell-Mann (see youtube) I think that soul is an emergent property of the formative structure of living molecules which through the course of evolution developed an elaborate brain capable of abstraction and imagination, as well as feeling and sensing. Ancient man, prior to knowledge of DNA and the remarkable properties of consciousness, dreamed up ideas of reincarnation out of an inspiration that somehow all life is connected. Thus the idea of reincarnation is a primitive mythic form of the first glimpse of genetics and evolution.

“All is Spirit” is meaningless without the context. In context, I’m saying that there is only one basic substance in the Universe, from which everything else is derived. Mantras don’t need to have any particular meaning; they only need to have an effect such as focusing the mind. Many claim that the most important aspect of a mantra is the sound.

Jana have you heard anything about epigenetics? The field of study involving gene expression? Pretty cool stuff. Drastic physical transformations, perhaps even a path to  the elixer vitae. This is the important connection between diet, environment and gene expression. They had identical twins where one had cancer and they chalked it up to epigenetic differences. Now they think there might be methyl group cancer treatments based on the findings.

"Vertebrates - animals such as humans that possess a backbone - are the most anatomically and genetically complex of all organisms, but explaining how they achieved this complexity has vexed scientists since the conception of evolutionary theory…There was an explosive increase in the number of new micro-RNAs added to the genome of vertebrates and this is unparalleled in evolutionary history." - http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/02/080211172609.htm

Yea, I am working on expressing me some new genes...a lot of it actually has to do with detoxification. Fasting perhaps allows maximum genetic expression. Look into Sol Luckman and regenetics...(book Conscious Healing.)

The universe can create infinite souls specific to every possible genetic combination so there is no need to recycle old ones. I can just see the first guy who came up with the idea—30,000 years ago in a cave in Afghanistan—he had been smoking a lot of potent weed that day and when the thought passed through his mind that all life is connected and human life was a school room, the next thought he had was "Great, I could make a religion out of this and make lots of money."

Newsbreak of the century...these guys are transmuting metals using phonons...if this technology evolves we will be working towards manifesting the silicon stone with m-state transition group elements in it that we need to create Solaris...a city that runs on solar and zeropoint. http://www.drjoechampion.com/phonon.htm

The soul is the self-awareness, or consciousness, unique to a particular living being, distinct from the body and survives the death of the body. - wiki

I have some problems with this definition. But I don't have a better one to offer. For some reason, I want to picture a window or opening through which 'the stuff of consciousness' (experience) is transmitted. Death is, effectively, closing the window. Mysticism is the process of making the window wider, bigger.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=d35l5Kxg7ik —William Tiller, Ph.D 1 of 3

William Tiller describes zeropoint and vacuum energy and our biological/spiritual relation to it and how consciousness fits into the picture. Hal Puthoff and Stuart Hameroff also assist in fleshing out the picture. Matti Pitkanen—Topological Geometrodynamics & Quantum Biology is probably one of the most forward reaching theoretical physicists. Full list of mystic scientists at the bottom of Resources on my website.

I see even Paul von Ward is jumping on the reincarnation bus...people tend to do that as they age. Yet I am positive that when the physics of consciousness (nonlocality/transtemporal) is known more fully the old ideas can be seen as myth and a new grasp of reality known. Always Truth...or closer approximation of the truth comes with a sense of genuine power and reverence for the way things are. There is delicious humility and sensitivity in regarding each individuals unique life...who will never come again...like a flower in a field.

There is only a sense of sadness and dirtiness about carrying the old bones of untruth on into centuries where rising rationality "should" place these bones in their correct position in the anthropic museum. Mythic religion and medieval superstitions could bring the entire human experiment to a close if we cannot upgrade of mental operating system.

You're looking at the half-empty glass. Every concept and model is true but partial. The new bones and the old bones are both misleading. But as the operating system changes gradually and naturally over time, old metaphors begin to reveal more of their misleading aspects. There is no reason to think that new metaphors lack the possibly crippling illusory aspects. These aspects are just better hidden in the context of the new operating system. Now I'm saying that the soul is more like a window. This is a new metaphor, as far as I know. So now, the idea of 'reincarnation of the soul' means 'opening a new window that surveys the same landscape' as the old one did. In this sense, reincarnation is possible and perhaps even verifiable. I think there is at least some partially true aspect to the idea of reincarnation and that you seem to want to focus on the misleading aspects of the concept. All concepts have misleading aspects. When these outweigh the useful or true aspects, the metaphor or concept is false, perhaps even dangerous. The danger is always there however, if we don't know where the concept, any concept, falls down versus where it works. As Clint eastwood says "A man has to know his limitations" I would add he or she should know that there are always limitations and it's best to have them charted when possible to avoid self-delusion. It's only when we don't see clearly the limits of applicability that the concept can be misleading and dangerous. There is no Univeral Truth except this very sentence.

"The shoe is on the hand it fits. There is really not that much to it. Just whistle through your teeth and spit, ‘cause it’s all right."
