Not broken perhaps but certainly digested. The faster we become at learning the lesson that each human interaction offers us, the faster we can "let the people go," and get on with our lives. Even when a relational transaction is toxic, such as when we are dooped into unhealthy social exposure or circumstance, we can still apply a degree of art and science in negotiating the difficulty. The self-loving adaptation to social stress involves raising ones vital energy and consciousness, humor and lateral-creative solutions...turning the stress into art or revelation. The self-hating coping mechanisms are things like narcotic addictions to food and substances, depression, isolation, torpor and avoidance through entertainment binging...and generally sabotaging ones life.

• The Great Disconnect—The jist of our current evolutionary dilemma is that we have been born and created as extensions of our parents egos. Thus we are programmed to serve as commodities and cogs in a machine that is consuming the earth. The call to awakening involves a lifepath of pulling ourselves out of the collective bog. But because of a history of socialized fear we are deficient in the prefrontal, affirmative, self-nurturing integrative wiring necessary for precognition, envisioning and planning. With a disconnect between cerebellum, limbic and prefrontal lobes we lack the inspiration and passion...or the inner motivation to engage in purposeful self-directed action. And furthermore, as far as getting our rocks off, nobody is offering a higher alternative than the power accumulation model. However harvesting the unconscious for the riches of consciousness that have been hidden from us is the greatest, most fruitful exploration of all time.

… Up until this past Monday, I had been in a constant state of creative apprehension for quite some time. Actually, I’m still in that state –maybe even more so, now that I think about it…

… Back in May, the labor Union of which I am a part of, asked me to be the head of a non-existent –but soon to be formed- ‘Government Relations Committee.’ My day job –as they say in the art world- is that of a Head Custodian at one of our local Middle Schools. Along with other custodians, maintenance, office personnel, cafeteria, and various teacher’s aids, we make up the largest classified union chapter amongst all of our collective chapters in the state. Our state offices thought it was high time that we got our political end of our union on a more active footing. Last April I volunteered to be part of a small committee within our union that took part in interviewing newly prospective school board candidates for an upcoming school board election. Prior to that, I was suggesting that our union should be seriously considering adopting a resolution in support of single payer health care. I am also a registered PCP (precinct committee person) for our local Democratic Party. As thoroughly disappointed as I am with the local and federal level of the Democratic Party, I still believe in participatory democracy, and being engaged in one’s own community. I also believe that all politics starts at the local level, and nothing is more local than one’s own local union, as well as one’s own local school board.

… This past Monday just so happened to be our first union meeting of the school year, and part of me was wondering “Oh hell, what’s the point?” Another part of me was also anxious about whether my hidden doubts would not rise to the surface as I attempted to introduce this newly forming committee to what very few participatory members would be attending this first meeting in the first place. And still, yet another part of me was slightly excited at new possibilities…

… I have always been ‘a big picture’ sort of person, and frankly, for years, I was never, ever as intrigued with local politics as I was with all that was going on from the national level, and conversely, what was going on in the entire world itself. I remember reading the paper even as a kid. Our local scene –politics as well as crime- was always in the ‘B’ section of the newspaper, and national and international news was always in the ‘A’ section. I never read the ‘B’ section. Only the ‘A’ section was of interest to me. I suppose while most of the population were looking at the various ways to affect ‘individuals’ in a way to help create a better world, I was looking at the larger picture for clues as to how one could influence the larger picture, in order to affect the individual, at that very local level… If one were into poetic metaphors, one might be tempted to surmise that it may be no more appropriate to focus ones attention any more on ‘one’ aspect, than on the other. It might appear that ‘both’ are as equally important…

… In the same manner -with regards to ‘banding’ together with like-minded souls as opposed to ‘mingling’ with the masses- maybe it too, is more of a combination of ‘both’ – that is, of course, if one is even afforded the luxury of having such options in the first place…

… I do not hold high expectations of bringing the masses to mystical experiences, non-dual awareness, or even a simple recognition that we are all essentially ‘one’ from this particular level of which I am a member of this community. I save those ‘higher hopes’ for the time when I don my book author meme. But I do feel as though I can at least coax my co-workers and fellow community members, at the level they are most comfortable with, to even a slightly higher level of responsibility –or sovereignty- and maybe that is all we can ask for under the circumstances. This, coming from hearts and minds who have –over the years- grown accustomed to low expectations…

… Last spring was also a very ‘taxing’ time for local governments, as well as local school districts all over the country, as a result of our financial wall street meltdown. Every municipality throughout the country lost huge amounts of revenue, not only when the stock market tumbled, but equally as a result of a reduced tax base when unemployment numbers began to rise at the same time. Our school district implemented massive cuts in various programs across the board, but was very determined to keep the lay-offs to a bare minimum. Our state –like every other state across the country- was greatly assisted by money coming in from Washington in the form of that infamous ‘Stimulus Package.’ At the same time, our state legislators passed a few measures of their own in order to help shore up revenue loses. This state has had a ‘minimum corporate tax’ of $10.00  that has not changed since the 1930’s. Three quarters of all corporations in this state ‘only’ pay that $10.00 minimum tax. The legislators thought it was high time that changed. They increased it to $150.00. Another measure the legislators passed was to slightly increase the tax of those folks in the state who were making more than $250,000. per year –which would increase their tax burden by another $200.00 per year...

… Anti-tax advocates have gathered enough signatures to challenge these measures via the ballot box. In January that election will take place. If those measures are rescinded, we –as a school district- will find ourselves in a very ‘real world’ hurt –metaphysics be damned…

… I have attended a few school board meetings, in order to get a fix on just where each board member stands with regards to their own political proclivities. I believe quite strongly that if I can know an individual’s politics, I can tell exactly how an individual is going to vote on various issues, with a great deal of accuracy. I see encouraging signs with our local school board, but I also see a few very serious red flags. I have been writing reports for the past week, explaining my findings and concerns, to our union executive board, our state offices, and I’ve even opened up dialogue with a few of the board members themselves. In addition, I still have a full time job as well…

… There is a lot of work that still needs to be done –like mobilizing the voters for one- and I would much prefer to be focusing on the ‘bigger’ picture myself. But, from this particular perspective, there’s nothing much bigger than unemployment… cigar

… You may have been wondering just exactly where Lawrence disappeared to, these past few days… Well, now you know… Now, back to my damn reports… Embarrassed bow Grin

I find the concept of autism intriguing because what society calls ASD might instead be just a glimpse at the next phase of human evolution. (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism) Perhaps these people are not really “suffering from an illness” just because they fail to live up to the arbitrary set of socially enforced developmental standards. Instead maybe they represent the next phase of evolution of the species.

This idea creates a potential problem for the crowd that’s always yelling for “cooperation with evolution” because it points to the issue of arbitrary value judgments. Who’s to say that one condition, for example autism, represents an “illness” or “deformity”- rather than a new “competitive advantage” along the natural path of evolutionary progress?

It seems to me this example illustrates that there is a potential conflict between “cooperating with evolution” and any other moral and ethical priorities that people may hold. The idea is that evolution often leaves behind some traits that we admire as a society.

Good point in that the Inner Life is not well respected in a society that is mostly comfortable with externals, superficals, soundbites, covering up and getting along. In exploration of the soul-life and creativity individuals are largely on their own. As the results from our creative efforts are most often turned towards status, security, power, control and money...this puts constraints on the Muse...shunting the "product" of the Inner Life into strategic gain in the material world. The highest drive of the Muse however is always toward that which furthers the "depth" of consciousness toward greater truth and greater realization of reality. Thus the Borg and the Muse are at opposite ends of the spectrum of being.

Pre-initiates are basically mad, and largely toxic. You kind of have to treat them like dangerous beasts and have fun with them from a detached perspective. While making an effort to be patient, caring and meta-understanding...like a farmer.

Not to sound superior or anything. This is just the state of our general collective ignorance.
Those engaged in the spiritual circus are doubly mad, because there is an affected layer of superfical knowledge (which they rattle off like robots) and ill used power.

I tend to just do my writing and hold down a job...I have given up on relationship because the transactions are so "low" and I cannot raise them up to my level of satisfaction. So I will continue on my own until I can find those people ready to engage on my level.
You will find also that people that have not risen above the consensus conditioning operate at a lower level of morality in which you are the one who is gonna get screwed...for they are automatons and are not sense-able to truth or reality.

Where the "arts" help is to seed the noosphere with your work so that those who resonate will be attracted and encouraged to make contact, so that eventually you may establish peer relationship. But do not waste your time in disappointment or frustration over trying to "relate" deeply with those around you...it probably won't happen and so you have to spend your life energy and time more wisely...to eventually make it happen in the long run, by expanding the sophistication of your fishing net.

That is you have to apply your awakening, your kundalini energy, your Muse to building your Rome so that they may come...and to "proactively" ask for and seek higher soul satisfying relationship. In a way...because of the alchemical nature of relationship in furthering human evolution...cultivating soul-resonant relationship is the reason why we are here at all. And to this end we cannot let the ocean of madness deter us from our ultimate goal...or all of humanity is lost to the material-robot...the Borg.

• Malcontentment—One of the principle blocks to sovereignty is malcontentment. This dissociative, disrupting condition is born of self-hatred, which operates at the chemical level to keep us out of the compassionate (8Hz) lens of being. Instead of resting in NOW we run off to the past or the future...pitting an illusionary ideal against a present that we look at with eyes of removal and distain. Closer inspection into the nature of malcontentment reveals that it can only ever breed more malcontentment, and so is one of the most insidious methods of self-hatred and life avoidance that we can devise.

It doesn't take much to see what energetic cognitive level people are operating in due to how it "resonates" in us. But if something is giving off an unhealthy frequency we do not have to drop down to its level, but simply breathe, clear and focus in order to move through psychic circumstance unscathed.

Since fall is about going inside and shadow work in order to deepen consciousness (to essentially survive the winter), we should now be working on the methods by which we hate ourselves and hold ourselves back.

The best shadow workers include:
Robert Augustus Masters - Meeting The Dragon: Ending Our Suffering By Entering Our Pain
Debbie Ford - The Shadow Effect
Paul Levy www.awakeninthedream.com/artis/AreWePossessed.html
Compassion and Self Hate: An Alternative to Despair by Theodore I. Rubin.

Oct-Nov is my high revelation period where I go the deepest into the well of consciousness...not sure if it will happen this year or not...but the peaks are associated with big weather systems around the planet setting up a particular frequency in the Schumann resonance which opens the doors wider to gnosis. See Cosmic Influences on BOK.
http://biologyofkundalini.com/article.php?story=CosmicInfluences

I will put up a graph of the annual cycle in the next week or so to help people get a handle on the annual growth cycle as it is associated with gravimetric energy.

In the hyperbolic annual gravimetric tide cycle...the energy is down in the Yin (interiors/unconscious) birthing point at the equinoxes. Then we get adrenal spikes as the gravitational pull raises yang energy towards the solstices...this gives us the spring flush and the fall flush. Coming out of the gravitational valley of the equinoxes the adrenaline spike makes you feel like you should have things organized...but you are still in the most intense yin, unraveling, unconscious part of the kundalini cycle. So I would suggest to just go with the spaciousness and not-knowing and relax into that, while simultaneously working on left-brain stuff like crossword puzzles, chess, math, mind mapping and perhaps a really important deep book. Painting, poetry, song writing and journaling will help. See if you can do some gardening or working with animals or kids.

In this way we can harvest the full cosmic benefit of fall and winter, in the service of a visionary rather than a reactive life.

New awesome Inner Art:
• Substantiation-Reintegration Meditation—In order to be Muse focused rather than symptom (personality) focused we need to build up the integrative wiring between the sensorymotor center (cerebellum) and the pilot (prefrontal lobes). Working through the closure, self-hatred, self-criticism and trauma damage, we repair the neurology of neurotic divisiveness and latency by establishing richer dendrites and glia cells in the brain. One exercise for re-integration, which serves to move us out of deprivation consciousness and paradoxical intent, is a meditation of affirmative self-talk for enrichment of the wiring for “potential.” Lie down with a cervical pillow under the neck and a bolster under the knees. Put on Jeffrey Thompson’s Gamma (40Hz) meditation CD with earphones. You can also opt to cover eyes with a buckwheat eye sack and hold onto the copper pipes of a Hilda Clarke zapper. Then with the mind’s eye focus your attention into the prefrontal lobes and use simple affirmative language to silently “talk” to your forehead. Such as: You are doing well; You are so good; Allowing; Complete; Joy; You are so sweet; Fullness; Unity; Gratitude; Faith; You are totally free etc….

What do you think of Don Miguel’s recipe for sovereignty? See quotes below:

The following is an overview of the meaning of each of The Four Agreements, based on the writings of don Miguel Ruiz.

Be Impeccable with Your Word
Speak with integrity.  Say only what you mean.  Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others.  Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
Impeccable means “without sin” and a sin is something you do or believe that goes against yourself.  It means not speaking against yourself, to yourself or to others.  It means not rejecting yourself.  To be impeccable means to take responsibility for yourself, to not participate in “the blame game.”

Regarding the word, the rules of “action-reaction” apply.  What you put out energetically will return to you.  Proper use of the word creates proper use of energy, putting out love and gratitude perpetuates the same in the universe.  The converse is also true.

Impeccability starts at home.  Be impeccable with yourself and that will reflect in your life and your relationships with others.  This agreement can help change thousands of other agreements, especially ones that create fear instead of love.

Don't Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you.  What others say and do is a projection of their own dream.  When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.
We take things personally when we agree with what others have said.  If we didn't agree, the things that others say would not affect us emotionally.  If we did not care about what others think about us, their words or behavior could not affect us.

Even if someone yells at you, gossips about you, harms you or yours, it still is not about you!  Their actions and words are based on what they believe in their personal dream.

Our personal “Book of Law” and belief system makes us feel safe.  When people have beliefs that are different from our own, we get scared, defend ourselves, and impose our point of view on others.  If someone gets angry with us it is because our belief system is challenging their belief system and they get scared.  They need to defend their point of view.  Why become angry, create conflict, and expend energy arguing when you are aware of this?

Don't Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want.  Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama.  With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
When we make assumptions it is because we believe we know what others are thinking and feeling.  We believe we know their point of view, their dream.  We forget that our beliefs are just our point of view based on our belief system and personal experiences and have nothing to do with what others think and feel.

We make the assumption that everybody judges us, abuses us, victimizes us, and blames us the way we do ourselves.  As a result we reject ourselves before others have the chance to reject us.  When we think this way, it becomes difficult to be ourselves in the world.

Take action and be clear to others about what you want or do not want; do not gossip and make assumptions about things others tell you.  Respect other points of view and avoid arguing just to be right.  Respect yourself and be honest with yourself.  Stop expecting the people around you to know what is in your head.

Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick.  Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.
Doing your best means enjoying the action without expecting a reward.  The pleasure comes from doing what you like in life and having fun, not from how much you get paid.  Enjoy the path traveled and the destination will take care of itself.

Living in the moment and releasing the past helps us to do the best we can in the moment.  It allows us to be fully alive right now, enjoying what is present, not worrying about the past or the future.

Have patience with yourself.  Take action.  Practice forgiveness.  If you do your best always, transformation will happen as a matter of course.

Honesty, Immunity, Curiosity, Excellence.
Reality,   Integrity,  Interest,   Efficacy.

His work is so basic and essential to being human, and yet his 4 agreements are so hard to do without conscious application. Even calling them The Four Agreements was a stroke of genius.

I have a problem with the "Don't take Anything Personally" What if someone says "I love you" and does something that demonstrates it? I'm not sure if a rigourous application of this rule should apply in that case. Or maybe it should. It seems a little too detached and 'autistic' to me. Somehow it seems like an oversimplification.

My God yes, it is a RADICAL oversimplication...that is its beauty...and how it is so e-morphous in trying apply this stuff to the complexity of personal experience.
If someone says they love me, I don't take it personally at all, I just think they are insane...so that probably makes me autistic.

The pitfalls are still coming along, it appears I might be able to do an entire book of pitfalls. But I will try to quit doing it...maybe.

Here is the premo, principal pitfall:

• Sovereign Boundaries—No need to fight your way into my heart—you are already there. You need no help, advice, direction, information or anything from me. Nothing I could give you would be of any use to you whatsoever. You are your own person—fully entitled to your absolute freedom of being—as am I and all others. You are sovereign—the center of your own universe. Born to shine forth in all your glory. Nothing you do, think, have or be is of any relevance or consequence to me. I have zero claims on your personhood. You are an end in yourself. You are in fact a singularity, such that no reasons, no justification, no explanation, no commentary, no excuses need be given to validate your actions, thoughts, words, feelings or deeds. Only in the depths of our singularity and our individuality can we unify. Love is only possible between sovereign individuals.

This is a radical oversimplication in order to get to the pure essence of the fact.

I loved a guy in the post office today while posting your horsetail...it was a good 2 seconds, more than enough while it lasted. The good thing about being over 50 is that you can walk away from someone you are attracted to in shear glee. wave

Only in the depths of our singularity and our individuality can we truly unite. Love is only possible between sovereign individuals. The bottom line being that we have to love ourselves...that is be our own person and not a composite of our reactions to the way others see us...before we can love. Prior to being sovereign we tend to try and demand and manipulate and bargain for love. That is our love is a "need" rather than a "radiance." Prior to being sovereign we have commodified ourselves and others in the marketplace of love.

• Original Sin or Fear Consciousness—Lack of self-love, self-respect, self-worth as a consequence of insufficient self-ownership and self-parenting produces a tyrannical super ego which we then use to beat ourselves up with by maintaining a victimized “done to” mode. With compassion and ubiquitous permission and allowing, we can loosen the hold that the reptilian brain has over our prefrontal lobes (super ego) such that the dictator turns into a benevolent director. Growth does not occur under a recriminating, hateful energetic, whether that growth be an individual, community or civilization. We do not need to justify our existence, prove ourselves, give until we bleed or do anything that is not in accordance with our highest good. All good, truth and beauty arises from a prior existing effortless grace of being afforded by Original Blessing.

yes, once we get passed the egoic, possesive kind of love, there are no time/space limitations. radiating love, as you called it, just for the "hell" of it.  Tongue

speaking of fear... is  fear present in the different levels of sub- and un-  and conscious modes of being? with fear in the conscious level the easiest (only?) area where it can be transcended?  i've been pondering that lately.

THE NECESSITY FOR LOVE ~ Basis of the Humanizing Principle Handshake
Since the conscious self is only 1% of consciousness...conquering fear there is not going to do us much good. Fear is incideous and so pervasive most of the time we don't know we are in it. Chronic fear is basically self-hate. If love is the opposite of fear then we have to create a lifestyle in which we eat and breathe love, listen to love music, dance to loves beat, think love thoughts and live for love. By following a lifestyle that promotes the love frequency then we become immune to agendas of a lower order that seek to implant dis-ease into our system. We have no fear of fear when love is strong enough...and the practice and exercise of love our principle drive.

Positive emotions widen our worldview to broaden and build our resourcefulness. While negative emotions narrow and constrict our vision, experience and potential. In order to coalesce the emotional forces of positive manifestation beyond paradoxical intent and double binds we have to be already on route to ascension. Then we have the momentum needed to quickly override old programs and create to the higher design plan of love.

Without love, we loose our humanity.

“Without the mitigating effect of compassion, the ruthlessness of self-hate is such that it reduces the individual to the level of a nonhuman automaton. Driven by self-hate, we have no opportunity to feel, to evaluate, to make choices or decisions or to grow.” 65, Compassion and Self-Hate: An Alternative To Despair, Theodore Isaac Rubin, M.D.
