• Death By Conformity—I have been off road for years...many of those I meet want to follow the road...they give constant verbal tickets if you let slip you are not on the same road as they. However it is dishonest to pretend that we too are road dwellers just for the sake of social ease.

… When I was helping to campaign for one of our local politicians who is now Oregon’s newest senator in Washington, one of his campaign staffers started on a stump that made him out to be an advocate of political moderation and political centrism. I asked him if that’s what he really thought the country needed, was a more moderate electorate? When he affirmed that “yes,” this is what he believed the country was in need of, I told him that I was not a moderate myself, by any stretch. I told him that if anything, I was the antithesis of moderate politics. I told him that I believed that moderate, centrist politics were the very bane of the Democratic Party itself, and that my whole purpose of being here was to make that fact known, loud and clear, and as often as possible. I went on a short rant about why I thought Democrats and moderation was a sure recipe for electoral failure. He politely stated that what I just said made a lot of sense, but I also knew that it would take a whole lot more than a sensible argument to truly change hearts and minds, in a very permanent manner. It would take a zeitgeist –as you mention- or a paradigm shift of Biblical proportions to truly change hearts and minds in the manner in which I know they need to be changed. However, it probably wouldn’t hurt to have that ‘good, commonsensical argument’ to accompany your zeitgeist at the same time…

… I don’t actually look to conventional politics as a source of inspiration, or solutions, for that matter, to the problems that befall us. I do look to politics, or politicians as certain ‘first responders’ to any particular problems that various communities or societies are faced with. Our recent financial meltdown is a prime example –some might say sub-prime example. If any type of cultural shift were to take place, politicians would certainly not be the source of such a shift, but they would surely be the first to respond –or comment- upon such a shift...

Since the more liberal, or unconventional of our electorate are most often those folks who are typically the more tolerant to various ‘changes’ in their respective societies, it only seems natural to deduce that the more liberal the electorate –as well as the politicians- the more likely the insertion of a more unconventional narrative has of succeeding… But then again…

… I have also long since concluded that if the ‘ultimate’ in my Muse Mining endeavors were to ever manifest its fullest expression, that expression will only find its fulfillment on that fast lane of social discourse, right there between politics and religion, with a much needed assist, via the scientific method…

In fact we can use the similar tactics to relax the grip of pyramid consciousness in our surrounding sociosphere as others are using to maintain it. That is instead of being diminutive, defensive, apologetic or hesitant in the expression of our so called "difference," we should be powerful and enthusiastic.

To take up a sense of leadership in off road travel. When times are tough it is far safer to get off the road and it is always far more fun. Unity through differentiation and diversity.

Safe here is a cryptic safe...the kind of safety in which it is safer to be unsafe than safe.
The safety of unsafelessness.

The systems as they stand are not worth our consideration, they cannot be repaired. Its all bogus and its all a waste of peoples time, energy and money. We have to self govern and self organize from the ground up...the institutes are turning militant and as such will become increasing counter-evolutionary and evil in the short term...say fifty years. After which there should be a shift toward a sovereign zeitgeist in the general population. The thing we have to watch for is that we don't waste our lives pitting ourselves against and trying to reform defunct systems that are imploding under their own weight anyway. The hero's journey no longer requires slaying the dragon. The dragon is already dying, so our job is to feed the living tree. In this respect we can turn on our evolutionary, rather than revolutionary juices.

... Well, that's quite insightful. Possibly cynical, but certainly insightful... Politics to me, are two people getting together to talk about shared experiences. Religion are these same two, talking about the nature of reality itself. These will always be with us. At present, our interpretations of politics are in conflict with our shared experiences, and our interpretations of religion are in conflict with reality itself. I agree, 'this' needs to go. But the delivery system will always remain...

Awakening Sovereignty reveals how punitive hierarchical dynamics perpetuates dysfunctional civilization.
Human society up till now has been based on the hierarchical status structure that I call the "pyramid." Sovereignty is the enlightenment of the individual beyond the culture of the species, such that negative stress effects of status dynamics no longer undermine the integrity, wholeness and empowerment of the individual and their potential for spiritual growth. Once the lower animal power plays and life-subversive tactics of pyramid consciousness can no longer harm us we then start growing and evolving our higher human capacities. We cannot achieve our "whole" human capacities if the fear based structure and behavioral norm of society creates brain damage, heart damage or any damage to our physical, mental or emotional well-being.

If we work to establish sovereignty as the primary principle in personal, interpersonal and international relations we can create a human society that supports the humanizing process. Ultimately the sovereign civilization will guided by a universal understanding of the lifeforce and become life-positive. As it stands half the folks working for the destruction of humanity and the earth, and the other half pretending to fix it...while in fact all human effort is pissing in the wind until the suppressive and subversive hierarchical structure itself...that pits adult against child, man against woman, government against the people etc... is changed. It is not changed by enforcing rules of conduct, but by changing the brain and building up the wiring for sovereignty, plus changing our thoughts, feelings and behaviors through a philosophy and spiritual practice of sovereignty. Change the brain and you change the culture that creates the brain. The presovereign culture is not humane and it is not fully human. As we learn to become sovereign so too do we learn to become human.

In The Awakening series you get to see the anthropogenic context of our predicament...see how we have degraded our health and planet to the point where we have created parasitic and predatory industries that feed on our decay while doing nothing to stop the cause of our degeneration. Then you start to see that all our "systems" are exploitive and maintain the unhealthy status quo through law that they have purchased...religion, politics, military, economics, agriculture, education, healthcare. Things are changing, but we must be wary of merely putting green lipstick on the pig. We have come so far already. It would be a pity not to gain the heightened perspective that would rapidly and categorically change all our human systems over to those that truly support the well-being of the species and the planet. Then we need to no longer capitalize on the demise of humanity, but could go to the stars in full health, full aliveness and good-will.

The goal of a more rewarding and functional modern civilization is now in reach. First however, mankind must take stock of the predicament in which it now finds itself. In the last few centuries, a great deal has been accomplished in terms of the progress of science, technology and the widening of global social connections. Yet we still face daunting levels of dysfunction. Poverty, disease, violence, war, exploitation, environmental degradation, psychosis, and a host of other societal symptoms all bear witness to a grave error in the soul of mankind.

How did we get here? In short, the answer is pathological competition. Healthy competition has, for most of history, been balanced by an overarching background of cooperation. Over the centuries and especially during the last century, the cooperative underpinnings of society have been systematically dismantled. The result has led us to an every-man-for-himself anarchy.

The unbridled competitive spirit has run amok and all but strangled the cooperative spirit upon which a healthy civilization relies. Civilization has become merely a hollow shell, at best. The resurrection of the cooperative spirit is now humanities only hope for real social progress.

This book is the literary equivalent of MDMA, designed to incite and rekindle the cooperative spirit that the ‘me generation’ has for so long starved of oxygen.

Competition is due to lack of self-love and sovereignty. It is only one of maladaptive programs generated by survival stress that runs automatically if not "spiritualized" by a higher perspective. The rest are a whole bag of sneaky primate tricks we have devised over the course of our "evolution" which reflect the presovereign condition. Heal the rift between the Individual and Cosmos...and all these lower energy, low conscious tactics are preferentially unselected because there is no universal bliss to be had there. Our evolution out of these dysfunctional programs is a lifelong process, and will continue for the entirety of humanities existence. But the higher we climb, the more bliss-energy we conserve and build, and the more stable our evolutionary gains.

 “The American way of life” is something worth fighting for if American's pull out of being global bully-police and develop a mature, high integrity economy built on developing sustainable life-supporting systems. If post-carbon technology was developed as in an "Apollo Project" then positioning oneself on the chessboard over pipelines, allies and enemies becomes a wasted effort. Not only a waste of life, money, and moral standing...but it is an escallation of the potential for nuclear war. The shadow government already has antigravity...so why are they increasingly bankrupting the US and the world for an obsolete fuel source...so the enemy doesn't get it...so they can control their rate of growth?

Obama is an appologist for the military industrial complex. It's the same ol'.

We can't waste our energy on that though. We must set about with the new world without the poor socalled leaders that have obviously lost their way...and lying through their teeth to protect their investments.

I wrote a whole essay on this last nite:


According to Darwin, competition is the driving force behind evolution. Only the fittest of our ancestors survived because they were able to out-compete other, now extinct, genotypes for the limited supply of available resources.  This process has endowed us with our adaptability and intelligence, presumably, because these things allow us to better compete for food and sex.  In the marketplace, competition for business results in lower prices and better products, for the consumer.
However, the business competitors themselves experience more stress and less profit. For evolutionary competitors, the stakes are literally life and death. Clearly, competition induces stress, regardless of the context.  Many even become addicted to the stimulation that competition fosters. They thrive on the stress of competition.
 While life may well be enhanced by limited competition; life is sustained primarily by cooperation. Moreover, unchecked competition, that is, competition that is not supported by an underlying cooperative support structure is toxic to life.   LL Whyte: “In biological development, dualism or conflict is always superimposed on a prior unity.”
 In a healthy competition, each side has allies and all sides agree to a set of arbitrary rules. For example, if you are a running a business, say making something, some kind of manufacturing, you need a staff of workers. In a healthy competitive atmosphere, all these people on the staff are cooperating to improve (or maintain) quality and productivity. But when members of the staff compete with each other, quality and productivity suffer. Similarly, when various species are in competition for their survival, species that cooperate amongst themselves are at an advantage.
 A competitor that is backed up by a team that is cooperating is better equipped to win than one who isn’t.  Energy is wasted when the unity of a team breaks down. Usually, the first step in this degenerative process involves the formation of sub-teams. These splinter groups typically compete among themselves for more influence and a greater share of the resources within the larger team. If this process continues, the sub-teams can even break down farther and each individual can become a sort of independent competitor or ‘free agent’, having no agenda but their own. This can readily be seen happening today within professional sports teams, business offices, factories, even within families. As Monty Burns (The Simpson’s character) says, “Teamwork only takes you so far, that’s when the truly evolved take that extra grab for personal glory”   
I don’t know how this fits in with Christianity but there is a chilling description of the problem from the New Testament. “Suppose ye that I come to give peace to earth? I tell you, Nay: but I bring division…the father shall be divided against the son; and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter and the daughter against the mother, and the mother-in-law against the daughter-in-law, and the daughter-in-law against the mother-in-law.” Luke 7, 51 & 53
People sometimes even compete with themselves and the resulting “inner-conflict” is thought by some, notably Jung and Freud, to be a root cause of many a mental illness.
In summary
Limited competition is inevitable and necessary for growth. But there’s trouble when the vanquishing of rivals becomes more important than honoring allegiance to allies.

Is there such a thing as transpersonal competition? If we have risen beyond our neurotic armor to reside in "We Space," with our antennae picking up on the pulse of the cosmic heartbeat, do we feel the need to "compete" with anything outside us? Sure we may want to sport with others to expand our capacities, because play is a natural mammalian thing to do. But the outright intent to harm is definitely not transpersonal...it is the pathological or frustrated side of the presovereign level.

Exploring the Janus of relating in the independence/interdependence dance, is delving into the very nature of the relationship of the inner-life to the outer-life. Biologists observe that humans are born with an innate altruistic willingness to help others and cooperate socially. If however our sense of giving is presovereign it does little to uplift the common well-being because we have not taken care of the personal and not dropped our self-concern by going through the dissolving impersonal stage. It is when we get to the transpersonal stages that our contribution is truly evolutionary for ourselves and others. It is at this point that the dance between independence and interdependence comes into harmony, synergism and cyclic flow.

SOVEREIGN REBIRTH

The competition, diabolical dilemmas and lose:lose nature of our material society means that we are exposed to a level of underlying chronic stress which we assume is our natural state. We never get to really relax into our native condition except perhaps by dumb luck during a fortuitous cascade of happenstance. The neurological consequences of this chronic stress accumulate generation after generation with devastating effects. Glutamate is the most abundant excitatory neurotransmitter in the vertebrate nervous system. Glutamate is used at well over 90% of the synapses in the human brain. The permanent over-excitation of the nervous system due to subliminal social stress produces calcium excitotoxicity, adrenal exhaustion and impairment of the immune system. Ultimately this translates into nanobacterial and viral infection of the nerves, and results in enervation, chronic fatigue, ADD, Alzheimer's, fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, depression and everything from cancer to impotence. We cannot evolve in such a neurologically damaging society…and the secret to preventing our own demise is compassionate growth beyond the life-negating social machinations.

Voices, lights, beings, visions, dreams, supersensoral phenomena...whether positive or negative these are all a reflection of the our emergence from the cocoon of the enculturated self. Having been somewhat attuned to Gaia through Thetawave as a child, we subsequently are educated or inculcated out of cosmic alignment and then have to recover our deep-Self from the Borg through spiritual awakening. This represents a breakout or rebirth from the solidity of the known past. Traditionally tribal cultures used entheogens in combination with flickering firelight, drumming and dancing to generate powerful Alpha Wave trances where by rebirth and Gaia attunement experiences could be had.

"Man The Architect", "Man the Creator", "The Grave of Thoughts" .... were expressing how the human has enslaved himself with the systems that he has created. The present civilization is buried under layers from the past, being passed on to the next generation by inheritance via biology, culture, civilization, psychic and spiritual inheritance.”  Satya

Regarding "The Grave of Thoughts" ...the grave concept of living in the remnants (re-meme) of the past is great. I think many of us feel the burden of the patterns of thought-action-experience that we have created...and wish to be reborn into a new world, with a new worldview and a new experience of life. We rather need 'new eyes' to see things in a 'new light.' I think that we will progressively gain the ability to renew ourselves as our compassionate understanding as a species grows. In this way dysfunction, dis-ease and wasted human life will become a thing of the past for our ability to manifest what we "will," will increase along with our power to love.
