Yea, Narcissism is a form of autism derived from living in a culture that denies the soul and is constructed on the spiritual disempowerment of the individual. When power is dished out by the external orthodoxy systems of hierarchical institutions, it is assumed that the individual has no worth until he or she runs through the hoops provided by the society. This sets up an ongoing pattern of painfully disempowered narcissists who appeal to authority for the recognition of achievement, approval, awards,  decoration, distinction and honors. Thus we try to become "whole" through external confirmation of our worth. Whereas in a culture that affirms soul, we naturally are whole, worthy and empowered from the beginning. Narcissism, self-hatred, codependency, addiction and war are the product of society structured on exploitation rather than facilitation. The ego level is scared shitless of the native power of soul and so one of the few resources left to the broken human is conformity compliance, conventionality, docility, obedience, observance, orthodoxy and resignation. Our submission is subconsciously resentful however, because deep down we know we are betraying our true power.

The only true power is soul empowerment, and you cannot achieve this by life-negative means or appealing to systems of power that negate the soul.

• Fighting With the Serpent—As we wake up we may notice our narcissism is suddenly is out of control and we seem to be fighting ourself, and this is separating us from our "life." Instead of fighting with your ego, simply ask it what it needs. The best place to start with divisiveness is to work regularly on opening the body armor. To open muscles and detox you need more magnesium eg: magnesium citrate and greens. A high enzyme raw diet will provide the fastest transformation. Try a heating pad or hot water bottle on your stomach, back and shoulders. Heaps of floor exercises and stretches with a Fitball Rollar, yoga, inner arts, breathing, breathwalks etc...this will loosen the contraction, oxygenate and raise your operating mode. Then when in a high rev organize a special event for your family...say a weekend at hot springs or something. By working to create a higher functioning life filled with love, joy and creativity you will raise your being out of the self-recursive funk...and so the difficulty you now fight with will not even be there anymore. If you stay in your present energy hole you will find endless garbage to deal with and preoccupy you from reaching higher levels of living. You do not have to live in or work through difficulty, you just raise your functional energy level out of it.

Hey Jimtzu,

If you know Little Hawk, give him a big hug from me.  I loved his words and their delivery.

Yes, there can be a far better feeling/concept than ´tolerance´.  And yes, we get together to make whole ourselves and our world.  Sometimes I sense that is the best use we can ever make of Internet - or of forums like this one.

Thanks M, i don't know Little Hawk pesonally, but i thought his words were good and spoke to the idea of narcissism pretty good. the more you try to talk about a subject and pin it down the more it slips out of your grasp. words are only good for corralling ideas and sometimes a more indirect, folksy way gets you quicker.

henry, i hope you don't get more snow and you make it out alive... just a few words of wisdom... phsyician heal thyself.. no that's not it..  you are what you eat?... hmmmm no... it's shake and bake, and i helped?...  hmmm no... oh well you get the idea (i hope)  ROFL Handshake

Yes it would be an interesting study to investigate narcissism in traditional native cultures, to see if it is largely a product of the "displaced" western consumer society.

I want to understand how narcissism fits into codependency. Both are symptoms of disempowerment. The broken human doesn't have access to the full powers of soul that provide, self-love, self-worth, self-knowledge, which ties us into the whole and provides ultimate security. Alienated, isolated and separated the narcissist can't feel beyond themselves to key into the larger picture and they try to draw energy and meaning from their environment because they fail to generate enough of their own energy from Source. This makes for a great enfeebled consumer society, but is crippling to the quality, depth and value of our human experience. Codependency is the relationships that form in a community of egos, rather than a communion of souls. This cultural decay gets incorporated into the cultural habits and so we can progressively loose more of our humanization with each generation, while simultaneously our potential freedom and agency is increasing. Since this dehumanization occurs on all levels from soil to soul and thus recovery of deep empowerment must also occur on all levels from soil to soul

Alain Badiou distinguishes different modes of how to deal with an event. Here I have associated his modes with possible responses to Spiritual Awakening:
1. Fidelity to the Event...Cooperation—Surrender and practice
2. Reactive Mode...Regression—Ego, neurosis, inflation, addiction
3. Total Rejection...Suppression—Psychosis, schizophrenia, and belligerence
4. Obscure Mode...Substitution—Symbols, writing, spiritual systems
5. Total Implementation...Immersion—Be a monk, join a cult, church or sangha.
6. Reanimation...Integration—rectify and beatify ones past, present, future life.

We each are composed of varying degrees and types of adaptation to truth or reality. This spectrum of possible responses to Spiritual Awakening is reflected in our personality and our interpretation of experience. Our adaptive mode and response to life in general is correlated to our mode of mother-attachment in infancy. The major categories of attachment: secure, anxious/avoidant, and anxious/ambivalent and anxious/disorganized/disoriented. You can use Badiou’s response modes and the attachment modes to analyze how you are approaching and responding to life.

an interesting article that somewhat relates:

The Difference Between Religion and “Spirituality”

To start, the reason why “spirituality” is in quotations is because there truly is no label for what I am trying to convey in this article. Also, there has been so much identification and many beliefs created within what some call “spirituality” that have really beaten the word to a new meaning. So as I continue, when I speak of “spirituality,” all I am really referring to is that beyond what we see in front of us, that which is our true essence. I am not referring to any belief system or set of beliefs within any structure.

Generally, we can come to a conclusion on something through a set of thoughts experienced within the mind, which is really nothing more than reading something or being told something and taking it as absolute truth based on that set of thoughts. This is a belief system – Religion. Or we can cease to make our thoughts our identity and remain much closer to our true essence, where we can see without blinders (the mind or set of thoughts) what we are experiencing.

Being religious is essentially an identity the ego grasps onto in order to keep itself fulfilled in a role it is choosing to play. Essentially, the ego now thinks that through thought, which is very limiting, it has found and experienced an absolute truth and in order to keep its identity alive, the very nature of “absolute,” will not allow it to “die.” Since the ego’s main goal is survival, it achieves this very easily by attaching to religion. (thinking, believing a set of thoughts)

It comes down to being locked up in the mind (thought and belief) vs. allowing the ego to not have an identity, not allowing the ego to strive to find a role it can latch onto. There is a general fear that we must BE something or know who we are and what we are about – “we” do not, only our ego does. When you recognize the awareness behind the labels and beliefs you have, you have found the consciousness or SELF behind the ego, showing you “spirituality” – that which lies beyond the false sense of self.

Now, I understand this is a touchy subject for where we are all collectively playing right now, but remember conflict will only come as a result of defense triggered in our minds (ego/reptilian) as it fights for survival because the information just presented was challenging. Use this experience and whatever emotions this article brings as a point of observation. Are you agreeing with it and feeling superior to others? Are you getting mad? Are you feeling some truth to it but are not quite there?

In any case, allow the feelings to be and don’t allow them to charge you. Take observation as to what presented for you. Are you limiting your experience by latching onto thought as absolute truth?

It is interesting that direct attention is not thought, and direct attention is actually interfered with by thought. Direct attention works through the blocks to light in body, mind and soul. Thought, however, is apt to create those blocks. Such blocks yield to direct attention for Presence is the magnetism of consciousness that directly molds reality. We are hungry for our Self.

The first half of life is rife with longing while the sex hormones are strong…in tolerating this passion the saving grace is to focus the energy of desire into ones art, science, craft or contribution. Thereby purifying, feeding, growing and refining the fruits of the soul. During a kundalini awakening this longing can be amplified many fold and the pushes and pulls of ones body armor, ones fear-triggers and the roots of our desire become increasingly apparent. There again, we do not shun or fight with the emerging psychic material, but harvest it into creative projects for the collective good and our own personal beatification. After ones awakening, and in the second half of life, we still are propelled forward by the momentum of our ability to harvest our youthful desire.

If we have fought against and suppressed Eros, or wasted our fecundity in futile indulgence, then as we get older it is unlikely that our soul dharma will be brought to fruition…and we would have lived a mundane human life. Kundalini is not a distraction, but mundane human life is. There are no vampirous entities out there...you are sensing the descended nature of the human species due to the increased sensory perception and increased sincerity/sobriety that comes with radically increased energy production and the opening up of new areas the brain. We have made the earth and the human species hungry for lifeforce due to our anti-life civilization...this hunger is readily perceivable as we awaken. On the other side of the hunger however is sublime and enduring satietation which we inevitably feel after the atomic energies of kundalini have reformed our bodymind to handle more light. More light means unity with All, and unity with All is the ultimate satisfaction.

Here's a twist, Spirituality being defined as a sense of self transcendence can be a byproduct of selective brain damage

We are all interlinked through the unified field...in a psychic soup created by our attractions, aversions and needs. This noosphere essentially has a life of its own that is tied into evolutionary processes and the cycles of the sun, moon, solar system and galaxy. Our bodies are the receivers and transmitters of this noosphere, which informs us and which we inform through anthropomorphic ideation. We build interests and passions for various archetypes and symbols that we feel are signs of importance to the story we are weaving with our lives. This psychic cooking can be so extreme that it feels like we are living an epic drama, or our hallucinations are indeed real. The evolutionary growth work the human species is now under going is to break down the artificial barriers between the states of perception so that deep sleep, dreaming, waking and enlightened mind reach greater synergy. We are collectively overcoming the cruel removal from the body and earth that has allowed us to all but destroy both. As we thaw we are beginning to feel the pain of the loss of humanity which we endured with grim acceptance, thinking that we had to conform and be silent in order to survive.

In the last 10,000 years in particular, during the development of technology, women have largely gained their status and power from bonding with men. However now women are gaining status through the same means that men have done in the past. They are banding together to accumulate power, and this will slowly undermine the status quo of the power dynamics in the flatland material world. The tension created by the disruption to the given modes of power exchange will force the human species into greater heights of awareness, creativity, achievement and health. As women come into their power and as the use of the right brain and emotional intelligence becomes preferentially selected, humanity will not only become more alive, but we will recuperate and accelerate our full cognitive, sensorial and behavioral capacities...and discover the beauty of living within the "deep-human" in our collective daily lives. This process of the return of the sacred feminine is occurring in both men and women and will serve to rebalance the hypermasculine track we have been on to a more life-friendly stage of our evolution. A stage that exemplifies individuation, soul vocation, sovereignty and a return to the underlying Ground.

Culture itself is built on a process of selective brain damage...or retardation of certain faculties in lew of the selective preference for others that amounts to cultural selection. Embarrassed

Hi Henry, the chat box won't let me talk.
So I will say check out Gabriel Cousens on water and David Wolfe on water on youtube.
Drinking snow water wakes up the brain, it is delicious and more electrical...great for detox.
Spring water is good depending on the spring...check with plant growth.
Don't know if it is worth spending money on water ionization.
I bubble filtered Boulder tap water with an aquarium bubbler with 6 circle-tube magnets reversed pole. on the bottom by the stone. This does increase the O2 in the body and removes traces of the rat poison that they put into the municiple water.
To really understand what to do with water you really have to be Schauberger informed.
Email me if you want my water files.

This has fascinated me

I was listening to Peter Taylor's great talk on redicecreations.com on the corporatization of the environmental movement and he point out the work of Dr Theodor Landscheidt who studies solar/ocean cycles with respect to the angular momentum of the solar system on the sun and earth.

http://www.john-daly.com/solar/solar.htm —SOLAR ACTIVITY: A DOMINANT FACTOR IN CLIMATE DYNAMICS
D. Rind and J. Overpeck [93] have shown that at least half of the rise in temperature since the end of the Little Ice Age can be attributed to the parallel rise in the sun’s irradiance. D. Hoyt and K. H. Schatten [39] judge their elaborate results as follows: “From the record, we believe the sun plays a major role in natural secular climatic changes on time scales of decades to centuries.".  E. S. Posmentier, W. H. Soon, and S. L. Baliunas [88, 107] eventually derive from a model based on the same solar factors as in the Hoyt-Schatten-model that 78% of the rise in temperature between 1885 and 1987 can be explained by the sun’s varying irradiance. An additional statistical experiment corroborates this result, though it omits the Svensmark effect and other solar-terrestrial relationships which are independent from irradiance. There is not much room left for the anthropogenic greenhouse effect. H. N. Priem [90] aptly remarks:

“Recent studies show that solar variability rather than changing CO pressure is an important, probably the dominant climate forcing factor ... The current and anticipated fleet of spacecraft devoted to the study of solar and solar-terrestrial physics will therefore pobably prove to have more bearing on the understanding and forecasting of climate change than the orchestrated assessments by politically motivated international panels biased towards global warming exclusively by the enhanced greenhouse effect.”

Check out Alan Wilson on Welsh history also on redice...it is apparent that there was a mass exodus
out of the region when Thera / Santorini super-erupted (1628 BC)....he reckons Syrians ended up in Wales, however it was probably a mix of people from many nations.
The Minoans were great navigators, so they could have sailed very far to the Tyrrenian Sea and land in Tuscany.
