This is the most articulate testimony to the ongoing struggle to the human spirit from the insidious forces of dehumanization I have ever encountered. The point being that we should strive to have our systems work for us and not against us: eg: a food industry that doesn't poison us, a military that doesn't kill us in the name of security, energy production that doesn't pollute us, media that doesn't propagate fear, a medical system...
The bottomline to all endeavor should be the "quality" of human spirit experienced.

The center of authority in this new system is no longer a visible personality, an all-powerful king: even in totalitarian dictatorships the center now lies in the system itself, invisible but omnipresent: all its human components, even the technical and managerial elite, even the sacred priesthood of science, who alone have access to the secret knowledge by means of which total control is now swiftly being effected, are themselves trapped by the very perfection of the organization they have invented. Like the Pharoahs of the Pyramid Age, these servants of the system identify its goods with their own kind of well-being: as with the divine king, their praise of the system is an act of self-worship; and again like the king, they are in the grip of an irrational compulsion to extend their means of control and expand the scope of their authority. In this new systems-centered collective, this Pentagon of power, there is no visible presence who issues commands: unlike job's God, the new deities cannot be confronted, still less defied. Under the pretext of saving labor, the ultimate end of this technics is to displace life, or rather, to transfer the attributes of life to the machine and the mechanical collective, allowing only so much of the organism to remain as may be controlled and manipulated.

One may call the new global community emerging out of the old "Post Formal Transculturists." They arrive at a sense of liberation and the soul-inspired life from different angles, but they are all facing and praising the rising sun. Some of the streams merging into the transculturist paradigm include: Integral, Permaculture, Rawfoodism, Eutheogens, Shamanism, Visionary art, Magic and Druidic arts, Sacred architecture, Sacred Geometry, New cosmology, New physics, New energy and antigravity, Terra-regeneration, Water science, Implosionism and Sympathetic resonance, Cycles studies, Meta-history and Anthropogeny. With the development of the "loves" of the individual, Gaia is healed through the creative juices and spontaneous networking of these amazing "Post Formal Transculturists."

The good news is that we are actually holding ourselves back and preventing the further opening up and development of the prefrontal cortex and our higher human factulties with our prolonged indulgence in primate status power dynamics. Simply consciously working to lift the burden of this regressive, retarding social goo will set off an explosive wave of cultural evolution, the likes of which we have never seen.

The belief in a savior may have rallied social cohesion in the past when times where harder and conditions more extreme, but now the continued use of the training wheels of the savior principle is holding humanity back in a childlike prerational follower mode…at a time when we all have to show up as mature adults and pull our own unique creative weight. Further fundamentalist indulgence in the messianic religions may bring the downfall of civilization through war and biospheric collapse, through holding back the cognitive, emotional and spiritual development of the majority of the world’s population. That is not to say that we have to get rid of the monotheistic traditions, but that they must be interpreted through the larger lens of the sovereign mind, in order that the prepersonal landmines throughout these thought systems not cause wholesale fragmentation and retardation of the cosmic human.
